Too many people severely over rate Itachi's battle prowess. Now I am not saying that Itachi is weak or a pushover or anything like that, but you are crazy if you put him on the level of an Ootsutsuki, or Madara, or Obito, or Naruto or Sasuke or Hashirama. That is why I am going to start a series called: How does Itachi counter this? The rules are simple. I will list a way or two that someone could easily use to beat Itachi. If you truly believe that Itachi can win against this person, tell me the way you think Itachi can counter my proposal. Let us begin:
Round 1 opponent: Kaguya Ootsutsuki
Method to beat Itachi #1: Simply warp him to the lava (or acid) dimension. Think about it. Itachi does not have perfect or even legged susanoo, so his susanoo won't help him to fly or avoid damage from the lava. The bottom of his susanoo is open unlike a susanoo with legs, so even if he falls in the lava with susanoo over him, the lava will still get inside of the susanoo through the bottom and kill Itachi. Furthermore, Itachi's crows haven't been shown to be big enough for a human to stand on and fly on. Itachi himself can't fly either. In short, Itachi has no method of flight, nor any known ability to make platforms for himself. Therefore Lava dimension + basic gravity = Game over Itachi.
Method 2: Go home no jutsu! Let me explain how this very simple but effective jutsu works. Kaguya warps an opponent to another dimension. She then goes home. The opponent is trapped with no food or water in a deserted dimension such as the desert one. As a result, they simply starve to death or dehydrate. This jutsu essentially kills anyone that can not travel dimensions or who is not immortal. Therefore, Go home no jutsu = Game over Itachi.
Method 3: Warping Ash Bone. Kaguya throws an ash bone at Itachi. Itachi puts up yata thinking that he is safe, and just as the bone is about to hit yata and be blocked, Kaguya opens a portal in front of the bone and warps it to the back of susanoo (where yata is not blocking). The bone then simply breaks through the back of susanoo (it was shown this past chapter that the bones are capable of breaking through susanoo) and hits Itachi, thus killing him. Game over Itachi.
Method #4: Infinite tsukuyomi= Game over Itachi.
Method #5: Massive Gudoudama. This negates ninjutsu and destroys all matter. Totsuka and yata may be spirit weapons, but they are still both made up of either chakara or matter. Truth seeking balls erase the first option and they completely obliterate the second. Plus, the explosion of the gudoudama would be more than enough to reach to the back or under Itachi's susanoo. Susanoo itself would actually be negated due to the property of negating ninjutsu.
Game over Itachi.
Counters to Itachi's arsenal:
She absorbs amaterasu and any elemental ninjutsu like a katon or suiton as shown when she absorbed Sasuke's amaterasu.
She sees through tsukuyomi and other normal genjutsu that Itachi can cast with her 9 tomoe rinnegan and her byakugan. You can not logically say that this is not the case, because if Sasuke's 6 tomoe rinnegan was able to counter infinite tsukuyomi, then surely Kaguya's 9 tomoe rinnegan combined with the power of the byakugan could see through the much weaker normal tsukuyomi. Furthermore, Itachi has to look into their eyes to cast tsukuyomi. Kaguya doesn't have to have her eyes open because she has byakugan so she could just close her eyes and see through her eyelids.
Also, she could just stay in the air, which would make it significantly harder for Itachi to see her eyes.
I have already countered susanoo plenty of times in this thread.
Izanami takes too much time to set up. Kaguya would have already easily killed Itachi by the time he even starts to set it up. Izanami doesn't even count anyway since it is a sacrificial move. Sacrificial moves do not count unless a person has an endless or abundant supply of the source of that power. Therefore, if Itachi were to collect sharingan like Madara or Obito, then it would count. Since he doesn't however, it can't be used regularly in battle and therefore doesn't count. The same goes for Shisui's eye (even though Kaguya could probably see through that too).
That is the end of my turn. Now it is your turn.
