It's true that the latest episode had BAD animation its 100% true but it doesn't mean All Naruto shippuden episodes have bad animation, every now and then Amazing animators animate Naruto Episodes there are currently 6 good(Some are excellent)animators:and 3 bad animators
1-Hiroyuki Yamashita ----> PERFECT animation /Normal art
2-Saiko Asai-------> Very good animation/Good Art
3-Kumoki Horukishi------>Perfect Art/Good animation
4-Masaya Onishi-------> Very good animation/Normal art
5-Tatsuya koyanagi-----> PERFECT Animation/Good art
6-Naoki Takahashi
-Shinichi Suzuki ------>Normal Animation/Good art
Bad Animators
1-Daika Handa------>Bad Animation/Normal Art
2-Min-Seop-Shin
-Yuuko Ichizaki------->Bad Animation/Normal Art
3-Ik-hyun-Eum------> Normal Animation/Normal art

See there are more great animators than bad animators in naruto currently.
Note: all the quality above are in my OPINION

So please if naruto always has bad animation complain all u want but no it has it's good animation so stop Complaining

60s spiderman looks better to be honest.
Being on topic I don't really complain on the animation, it's almost always alright, what people consider here "excellent animation" usually looks like the people look extra young and childish especially Sasuke and Naruto.

Ironically, that very episode you posted an image from was animated by one of the best animators in whole Japan - Atsushi Wakabayashi.
Those satire-like changes to Pain's face were done intentionally.

The animation doesn't bother me one way or anoter. (barring the fillers. Those are like the B team animators Xd )But even then. I don't really have an issue with them. All Animation including western animations do this. They are subpar until a very special episode or event then they put extra detail or a speifice animator on the payroll to roll these ones out.

So, on purpose, the animator screws up one of the most important and dark momments of that fight? That's what you're telling me?

BeHaku is correct though. He literally drew it like that on purpose. Ever watch the Animatrix? There is a short call "Kid's Story" When he the artist starts the chase sequence he does the exact same thing intentionally to really drive home the intense aura of the battle.

It's somthing that has been going on for years.

It's somthing that has been going on for years.

He cartoonized that battle, which not only didn't suit the situation he was supposed to describe, but didn't even suit the regular genre of the anime.

That style simply was the worst choice possible to intensify that battle.

While I too find those changes to not be appealing to my tastes, the animator did them to his artistic vision or so.
Also, look at that episode as a whole, there are lots of amazing anime-only scenes Wakabayashi put into it. Episode 167 of Shippuden was one of the highest budget individual episodes in the entire series.
