I don't hate him, I actually really like his character, him and Tatsuya are really similar. What I don't like is his droves of troll fans, they are the ones who create the hate for him.

I would say most of the reasons for people disliking Itachi is due to two reasons.

1. They dislike his absurd amount of strength that he has, or think he is weaker than he truly is in order to make a character they prefer stronger.

or

2. They don't agree with the things that he has done in his life. You know things like killing the Uchiha and putting Sasuke into tsukuyomi several times. Stuff like that.

Itachi is my favorite though, but I would say those two reasons are the most likely reasons anyone would have for hating Itachi.
