My One Piece Review on MAL

ok where to start hmmm....

the first anime i saw was naruto and after watching all the eps i thought that naruto was the best anime. But by the time i was watching 1 ep a week i started watching bleach. The same thing happened again because i was watching 1 ep a week of bleach and naruto. So, i then started watching one piece (thank god there was enough episodes to keep me going for a while) and to this day i realised that out of those 3 anime one piece was the best and my favourite.

What makes One Piece so great?
The storyline is good and keeps you guessing to what "One Piece" is but then you realise it doesn't matter because the journey is what matters the most.
It has a great balance of happy and sad. There are alot of times where i have shed tears but also times of tears of joy - this rarely happens in other anime.
The characters aren't overpowered. This is essential because it adds a sense of realism. Roronoa Zoro is my fave character but he has no devil fruit which makes it more awesome.
EPIC. It is the most EPIC anime i have seen so far.
Oda (mangaka for one piece) doesn't overuse death to create emotional scenes. I think this is much harder but it makes it feel more authentic and not cheap.
Nakama/Friendship. This is probably the best quality of One Piece. Even though Luffy and co are pirates, they will help people because they are good people and value friendship. The Strawhat team pwn.
Comedy. Yes there are some funny gags

What makes One Piece suck?
The 4kids dub or whatever. stay away from dubbed and stick to subbed.
That's about it i really can't fault anything else.

I first started Naruto, then Bleach and then OP^^

But I don't really know which I find the best as it isn't easy to compare those three which each others as they are totally different.

Atm I find OP actually the best as Bleach is cool, but it goes so slow (I'm talking about the manga now). Naruto is...wierd for the moment as I don't have an exact clue in which direction they are going. They're hopping from one place to another.

One Piece is my favourite for the moment, it's funny and it still can boil my adrenaline. While Bleach and Naruto have, more or less, a one road plot in OP it can go in multiple directions as the end goal is something vague. The current arc is by far superior to Naruto and Bleach for the time being, though I think to much time is spend often to one arc. I mean how long is the Impel Down and the Marine Ford-arc been going on? It's awsome, but in the manga it takes only one or two days in total O_O but for how long has that arc been going?

My biggest fear is that the arc where all the SH come back together is going to take a while ~_~

thing about naruto is they are going sharingan crazy come on look at danzou
who the fck did all his transplants surgeries etc must be some really good medic nin

thing bout bleach was the first arc was awesome and had a great twist but after that bounto arc was just bs and then they had great hype over the war but this war betweem shinigami aizen and vizard didn't live up to it's name which is quite disappointing

the way i can distinguish one piece as 'the best' is because when i watch read it it's enjoyable but at the same time interesting and EPIC.

but...i started watching naruto after finishing it, i began with one piece that i exactly remember one piece took me a whole summer to finish it ...then started with bleach which was interesting at the begining...

and i agree with ringleader that one piece is the best right now...and the best thing i like in it their funny character ..

damn i miss SH's crew........ i miss...:

-luffy, ussopp , chopper ...when they put stick on their nose and dance xdxd
-zoro and sanji ....when they fight always together xdxd
-nammy..knocks their heads xdxd
-brook..when he ask politly to show robin's or nami's panties xdxd
-franky....when he make his famous pause (suppppeeeeeer)xdxd

and one piece is so much awesome then naruto i still cant believe its 3th in the one manga section after bleach and naruto one piece has definately one of the best story lines of manga history i believe so i wonder every week what will happen in next chapter and it always makes me wait thursday to see the next chapter every chapter is more interesting and more interesting then the previous one WOOOOOT one piece and to mention it i broke my anime watching limit for a day O_O i watched 35 episodes a day sometime with one piece and finished the hole 425(then) episodes in a mere 2 weeks lol xD i advice anyone who hasnt seen it to watch it its an awesome anime =)

OP is the best fo-sho! nobody in anime have made me laugh so much as Luffy specialy when its Luffy, Usopp and Choppa, they just own ( i hate usopp )

agree with funny part, but his I am the best and im the greatest just pisses me off

yeh same here i think that in a way buggy and usopp are similar but buggy is just way better even though they're both annoying

that means you was infront of your pc more than 17 hours.. you even broke my record (10 hours) approximately 20 to 23 eps....and that was in water 7 arc + robin rescue arc..i couldn't stop it cuz the senario was getting interesting episode by episode ..that was one of the best arc in my opinion..
especially ...when he used gear second and gear third for the first time

merry made me really sad but the sadest one was when i was watching all the 425 episodes and i came to 400-410 and it was around 3 or 4 am in the night and i was sleepy but the last episode i saw for the night was when the straw hat crew got scattered i almost wasnt able to sleep >_> thanks to mugiwara who spoiled it for me O_O jk xD

I like that Luffy needs his nakama. It's not like Naruto who comes in and saves the day. Always forming teams, get a beating, think of a plan and then totally own them and walk away in a bad ass manner while they lost 5 liters of blood and broken every bone in their body.

Good read. The 3 things I love about One Piece is ; the unpredictability that Oda dishes every week, the constant character development of the main characters and using side characters in epic ways, and I find the world that Oda created to be much more immersive then the others.
