Chapter 689 ended just before Kaguya got sealed. I would bet that it fails next chapter and the fight continues.

I am basing this on the appearance of Hagaromo and his confab with the EDO kages. There must be something Kishimoto has planned for them, a role for them to play in the fight. So if Kaguya is sealed now, there is no need for them.
