I used to be like your first point , until I dropped it .

Mine are : The ones who read something they don't even like just so they can criticize it .
-The ones who hate on others because they're not reading/watching what they are reading/watching & don't like people talking about their series .
-The ones who think they know manga/anime and talk as if their opinions were facts .
-The ones who see anime/manga's as a competition with fanbases .

I've seen every single one of these in NB .

The first two are valid reasons imo, many FT readers know what those first two points feel like U_U

I feel that excuse it no longer valid if you're reading the series every single week, the second it comes out, and then commenting every week about how the series is declining or suck. If you're not following the series every single week, but drop in and out to stay up-to-date with the series. Then I keep see your point of view. Other than that, no, I can't see your opinion being plausible to me.

You do know why DBZ has large fanbase, right? If you refer to DBZ Kai, just no, you've misunderstand. It's the basic story version; Dragon Ball Z that becomes the fans' favourite. DBZ pretty much encourage a number of great series nowadays to be produced, especially shounen genre. During its prime time, DBZ left a great impression in anime/manga community, and today, it's considered as the father of shounen, and almost all mangaka (shounen or not) like it due to the nostalgic feeling and motivation it had brought upon.

Ya know your childhood is awesome when you watch/read DBZ, anime/manga fans. *Veteran's talk*

Also, i dislike the fans that say wanna drop the manga/anime because of a few downhill moment and being all wisest to do it. These type of fans supposedly to be given some rests before picking up the said series again. Any kind of series. Yesterday, present, tomorrow.
