My question is can she still go hand to hand melee style

and what level is she at

Is she new world matieral in hand to hand with her staff?

Nami isn't meant to be a fighter. She's their navigator. And from my understanding she's the best navigator in the world. Plus her elemental staff is beast. But regular hand to hand she's most likely hiding behind luffy or zoro .

Nami's role in the story is NOT a Fighter. She doesn't have to fight enemies. It would be good if she improved her fighting techniques and gained Haki but don't expect much fighting wise.

She's like Bulma...weak but important for the Dragonball stuff.

In This Case, without Nami, The Thousand Sunny will not survive the Vicious storms of the New World and Luffy will never locate the One Piece or get back to the East Blue.

They were weak among people out of the fodder zone, which is what Nami is.
Plus there's a difference between going up against someone and coming out unscathed and what is about to happen with Rebecca if Daddy doesn't show up xD

Nami doesn't need a lot of pure fighting ability because of her skill at using the Clima Tact plus she doesn't need to fight alot anyways
