(Back story to this question)
I remember when I was younger , for the longest time, I had an extreme fear of dying. This fear began after my father explained death to meat my uncle's funeral. He told me that everyone dies, and he ended off his explanation by asking me, "Are you ready to die?". Looking back at it now, I think it was inappropriate him to ask me that at such a young age, but I personally found it helpful in the long run.
The months following my uncles funeral, I constantly had the thought of death on my mind. I found the thought of no longer having an existing conscious terrifying.
Back to present time, I was recently discussing the Purge threats in America with one of my friends, and she asked me "are you scared of dying?". I thought about it and answered no. I don't know what changed over the years, but now I have no fear of death.
I'm not saying I'm willing to die though. No one really wants to die and I still got shit to do
Anyways, my question for you is, are you afraid to die?
