Do people care THAT much over who's strongest?

I understand the fun in doing fanfic battles, seeing how they might turn out, but I could name a few people (especially Sasuke fans at the moment) who would literally break their own arm if it meant him contributing more to the fight or if it meant him being > Naruto. I also could say the same about haters *cough* howling Fox *cough*.

If it's any consolation to the upset fans I understand the frustration of your fav being kinda fodderized like shikamaru and darui for me. But think of it this way Naruto and Sasuke fans: no matter how bad one may look at any given point, you know naruto will end up winning no matter what, his name is the goddamn title, but you also know he'll fight Sasuke at maximum difficulty and barely survive because that's the way it is

Yeah, I mean the realistic perspective is that, if they ever fought, they would be so equal that the "Winner" would win due to plot / tie. There's no way one will ever "stomp" the other. That said, both will inevitably be stronger than any of their peers, barring the villains that possess "both" powers (Madara/Kaguya).

Agreed, naruto and Sasuke are equal overall with naruto having the slight edge as he is the main character. It's really pointless to argue when we already know the facts about both.

On a serious note, Sasuke fans are just pissed that Naruto is eons ahead of Sasuke when that's what they built their credibility as a fanbase on. A fool's errand from the start.

I like this series for its world building, character development, and character dynamics. Lists of top ninjas in terms of whatever you're comparing them in don't interest me in the slightest.
