I just can't take this anymore, is this Game of Thrones?
This is for those who read the manga

I was never fond of Akame ga Kill because I felt as if the anime never lived up to all the hype it was getting on this forum.
Yesterday I got bored and decided to read the manga and suddenly....... I fell in love with it.

But the way they handle things....... is this really a shounen?
Big characters are getting killed off left and right.

I was really sad when Bulat died.
I was also really sad when Chelsea died, I just couldn't take it.
It was like 10 PM so I decided to stop for the day and continue today because I have school.

This series is better than I thought it'd be.

Yeah AGK is a good manga despite its sadistic ways, maybe that's why it seems good lel. I'm alright with the deaths, it really adds suspense to the manga and makes you actually cherish a character imo.

OT-Akame Ga Kiru is really good manga, have a potential too take down Naruto someday and no, it doesn't look good only due to sadist ways, even though it is one of the reasons.

That's exactly why I like this series. When I started reading the manga and Sheele died-it was a major shock. It told me that this ain't your typical shounen where the main character's have massive plot protection. Aside from Tatsumi, and maybe Akame,anyone else can die at any time.

Aside from Naruto's drawing style, which is fairly high quality it isn't that good IMO.

I felt as if things started going downhill after the Pain arc.
Personally for me Akame ga Kill > Naruto already.

Aside from Naruto's drawing style, which is fairly high quality it isn't that good IMO.

Personally for me Akame ga Kill > Naruto already.

That's because Naruto is currently going downhill.(by currently I mean from last 20-30 chapters, typically from entire Kaguya revival thing). Akame Ga Kill still has long way to go. Naruto is more diverse than AGK, it isn't right to compare manga with 50 chapters to manga with almost 700 chapters, especially when Naruto is full of some really good ideologies, complex characters.
AGK will get soon get diverse doe imo, especially as few interesting stuff is bound to happen.

Naruto is more diverse than AGK, it isn't right to compare manga with 50 chapters to manga with almost 700 chapters, especially when Naruto is full of some really good ideologies, complex characters.
AGK will get soon get diverse doe imo, especially as few interesting stuff is bound to happen.

I got curious so I googled him, just 11 more chapters for me to read until he's introduced.

I agree. Overall, Naruto is a good manga. However it started going downhill in the War arc. U_U
Akame ga kill is still new, although you most note that 1 AgK chapter=roughly 3 Naruto chapters in length, so the AgK series is like "150 Naruto chapters" in length thus far.

It is good but overrated.......We know that Tatsumi is not gonna die.....we also know that there will be hardly any character development (except the MCs)......I find Berserk, Death Note, Code geass, Tokyo Ghoul to be far more interesting.....especially Berserk (waiting for the next chapter :bouncy!! U_U

Yes even if it did went downhill, I don't think it is completely ruined or anything. Kishi did set up few things really well, which are comprehensive. Even if I agree that AGK came really far in such a short duration, still Naruto had certainly taken itself to entirely new level of entertainment and new level of complexity.
When Naruto started it was about a 'knucklehead ninja' trying to become hokage(common story of a protagonist having some difficult dream, similar story which can be found out in many other mangas) and now became a complex manga which is about war, peace, love and hatred and correlations between this completely opposite things.
Tatsumi on the other hand, hasn't come that far yet, so is the AGK manga. It still has a long way to go, not only plot wise, but also complexity and character front wise. Same is true in case of Akame, she hasn't even fought seriously with Kurome yet.
