Was it the right choice killing Konan?

She could have been a big help to the war with her skills but that's really it.
But,she could have become leader of the hidden rain and added another village to the Allied Forces.
I just really liked her and didn't see a point in killing her off.
If she didn't die, I can still see Onito obtaining the rinnegan.p somehow.

Not just Konan , IMO the war would have been better with at least two Akatsuki members alive , Konan being one of the two helping Naruto . But she died beautifully anyways , too bad I didn't get to see her as an Edo at least .
