So how well was Kaguya received ?

The two chapters that have Kaguya in them (680 & 681) were ranked number 4th and 3rd, which is usually how most of Naruto chapters are ranked. As of now, Kaguya seems to be well-received.
The latest volume with Kaguya in it is also selling well. (more than 600K sales in 3 days)

Well that's nice to know. At least the reaction to Madara's fall was not that severe.

Wow! o_O And I tought Naruto was doing bad so Kishi stopped caring...
Guess Japan likes Kaguya.
Also awesome thread dude! Love how you keep it well structured and regulary updated instead of spamming new threads every week. n.n

Naruto usually never falls out of the top 5 in the WSJ Rankings, which is more than a confirmation that Japanese readers do enjoy reading it.
And I'm glad you liked my thread. ^^

Seems like Japan is enjoying the Kaguya arc.

Well, after all, the mythology from where Kaguya is inspired is one of Japanese most known myths so it's no wonder.

I also enjoyed all the chapters until 689 chapter.

I bet 689 and 690 will be rated horrible and even Japan people will send Kishi's massive rant/complaining message so he will know how terrible his two last chapters were.

Let's see If I am right

Ya know. I noticed Assassination Classroom is kinda giving a great deal of rivalry as well. I read its manga and it's pretty good, if you like to learn assassination regardless being at such a young age.
Keep on going, Naruto. One Piece too :)
Thanks for this thread! I enjoy this a lot :D Good job!

I think it's because Kishi had turned things around in Team 7's favor way too fast.

Bro this shouldn't be surprising, this rating was well more deserving to earn this spot due to this anticlimatic full of disappointment because Kaguya got nerfed so hard solely for Team 7 Fanservice which is considered bad writing. The author should never do for nostalgia purpose, plus it was done so rushed, we haven't even learn anything about Kaguya.

It's 7th place it's not that bad
naruto still beat most of the well known manga I bet you don't even know the ones that beat it besides maybe one piece and toriko

Doesn't matter, Naruto has always been in top 3 - 5 in the WSJ ranking system, and when it dropped at 7th or 9th place this week every once in a while , this signify how poorly done this chapter presented based on these criteria.

Well for whatever reason it's in 7th place isn't for the reasons you think you know

It's the reason to think otherwise these ranking system won't even published, according to your statement, you're telling me a series that dropped to very low rank or last place and then get canceled shouldn't even matter to the readers or to speculate? I don't think so hence Naruto always gets good ranking, this seems very suspicious as to why it gets bad rank which has to do with the quality of this chapters and this is just my assumptions.
