Ot: Yeah he died which was sad but they couldn't call the Phantom Troupe because they dont work for the association they only killed those chimera ants because they were in the Troupes hometown Meteor City

I doubt the Phantom Troupe gives a damn about problems facing the Hunter organization. They're not even pro hunters. They only faced off against some ants because they were messing up their hometown. Plus Netero needed to die in order to move the story along (chairman election arc, mostly the dark continent arc involving his son).
