Itachi isn't a very unique character. Ive seen plenty of characters like him in other mangas movies hell even regular tv shows. I'll never understand what makes people act the way they do over him. He's not that great. That's just my opinion.

Yeah, Itachi is by far Kishimoto's work at its best. Best written character in the Manga, in my opinion, and to be honest, i think Kishimoto intended it to be that way. His story started, culminated and ended perfectly. Probably the only character, from the beginning to the end, that was developed nigh-flawlessly. It's seriously not easy to pull of a perfect death, then revive the same character, and give him an also equally perfect end.

Itachi is undoubtedly a big part of the reason why i'll remember this Manga with good, despite how it's currently going ("bad" is an understatement), and probably won't rate it below a 7/10. Creativity and originality, a.k.a Itachi Uchiha.

He is neither greatest nor the best written character of manga.
He has cool poses and "solos" everyone he comes across. Also calm composure seems like a token aspect for a "zomg great character" for most people and he has that. Bad guy actually being good? Wow what an original twist.

Nothing special, just the preacher of garbage that is "will of fire"s in shadows.
