Is it absolute necessity so that Hokage faces must be carved in the mountains. I mean it looks cool when there are 4 of them. Imagine 100 years later dozen gigantic faces weirdly looking at citizens underneath

Maybe they could incorporate what sunagakure did and have statues of the Hokages.

A simple earth jutsu that anyone can use can create a huge wall...imagine a S-Rank Earth Tech..a whole new giant mountain can be dumped onto it.

Have a specialized Earth User make the mountain side bigger.

Or maybe have Naruto and Sasuke work together to pull off a Creation of All Things and make it a even taller mountain or something...

Well I doubt in a hundred years they would have gone through dozens of Hokages. This isn't the presidential elections they're not limited to a set amount of year as Hokage.
