Hidan is trash. MAYBE he would be top tier if he was placed in P1's power scaling. Itachi, Jiraiya, Tsunade, Pre Sealed Hands Orochimaru, Kabuto, Kakashi, and dare I say maybe even Hiruzen would beat him.
Also Kakashi is a direct counter to Hidan. If Hidans gets his blood, then he summons his dogs to keep him place. Kakashi will feel the pain of the bites, but he will be be held in place like Hidan is and can rakiri his face. Then Hidans brain matter can continue to live on the dirt.

Regardless if Kakuzu was there or not is not important. Hidan was able to tango with Asuma and Shikamaru's shadows at the same time and dodge them acrobatically. Kakashi without a Sharingan would struggle against Hidan, and would lose especially without Intel.
How well did Shika's long range shadows work against Hidan? Lol
And Asuma was also fighting him. Hidan is aware and Kakashi cannot win without his main borrowed weapon.

This entire argument is flawed.
1. I'm fapping what needs fapping. You're highly overrating Hidan.
2. No, he didn't need his Sharingan (against Hidan). I don't know about you, but I wouldn't chance getting hit and getting killed.
3. Yes, Kakashi would struggle, but he would win. Also, where did you get the idea that he would lose without intel? Raiton clone is up, he waits for Hidan to do whatever he does. Hidan, being as stupid as he is, gets a drop of blood from this clone. Kakashi sees what he does, and there's your intel.
4. Shikamaru got Hidan with his shadow multiple times. It's just not directly an offensive move. Kakashi can use lightning beasts to paralyze him, water dragon to push him back, earth mud walls to stagger him, and probably more.
5. Where did you get the assumption that Asuma or Shikamaru, even together, was anywhere near Kakashi's level? Sharingan Kakashi would seriously wreck the duo so hard it isn't even funny.
6. How is it trolling? Kakashi has so many speed feats that I am confident in what I say. Do you believe Hidan can keep up with V2 Jinchuuriki? Or even 6G Gai? Because Kakashi was even faster than V2 Jinchuuriki and could keep up with 6G Gai.
7. He's right though, somewhat. Kankuro is strictly medium-long range fighter. Hidan is the complete opposite. Sakura, well, she'll lose, for multiple reasons.

using this logic, Pakura and Gari are top tier characters as well. Their abilities were >>> Hidan's since all they had to do was touch the person to GG them.
