Was Sasuke really good enough for Akatsuki?

Hidan was an Akatsuki member too, and if he were to be in the same situation as Sasuke then he would have did worse. Pre MS Sasuke is also much stronger than some Akatsuki members, like Sasori, Hidan, Kakuzu and Deidara.

This doesn't in any way take away from Sasuke's win. Sasuke had the elemental advantage, and he used it well. Sure he didn't actually kill Deidara but they fought each other to the point where neither were really able to move. Sasuke didn't get taken out by the explosion due to his quick thinking meaning Deidara failed. Sasuke was the victor still. By default be won that battle.

Ms Sasuke is strong enough to beat every akatsuki member including obito and nagato.

I agree. Neither Sasuke Sakura or Naruto have killed an Akatsuki member, but that doesn't mean they didn't beat them. Kishi just doesn't want his heroes to be killers.
