What do you mean act cool? It was a sneak attack, but Madara had senjutsu and rinnegan. Naruto died instantly. He couldn't even move...he was basically brain dead. Was looking for scans for your post no one recovered from that Oro glare in early/mid part 1 even Anko and Kakashi was scared Sasuke recovered from that stare after that VOTE fight and looked him and Kabuto dead in the eyes with no fear.

Its not that he didn't do nothing...he couldn't.
His endurance is nothing compared to Kushina's and never will be...she tanked a tailed beast extraction and was still awake.

Naruto would have thrived to live like Sasuke did.

Because of Ashura's body/chakra...not because of his. Also no he wouldn't have anyways...you can't repair an organ without the sages/ashura's power. Naruto would have let sasuke chidori his heart instead of his lung back then. He also didn't extract to kill naruto mainly, its because he wanted his pets....naruto was just in the way. He actually was looking forward to Sasuke fighting him.

Kushina wasn't gonna die after having Kurama extracted Minato even said she would have survived if she had rest Mito didn't die either. And if Madara stabbed Naruto he would be dead too no one can get up after getting stabbed in the heart.
