Yeah it's really intense, you should have seen the playoffs last season. Almost every game went into OT or a shoot out. The LA Kings won tho.

Well, not exactly.

Not all trump cards are the same. There are different type of trump cards when it comes to Teigus. Some Teigu have a trump card installed into it already that can be activated at will, any time the user wants to use it (E.g. Mastema, Lionelle, Koro, etc.). Other Teigu have a trump card that can be activated only when the user meets certain conditions (E.g. Pumpkin, Shamshir, Black Marlin, etc.) such as Mine's emotions have to reach their strongest and snap before she can use Pumpkin's trump card, Enshin needs to fight under a full moon to use Shamshir's trump card, Liver has to fight next to a huge body of liquid in order to use Black Marlin's trump card, etc.

And then there's Teigu that don't have a trump card installed at all and the users have to make their trump card (E.g. Yatsufusa, Demon's Extract, etc.) such as Yatsufusa not having an actual trump card installed, but Kurome has to find and turn something powerful into a puppet at which point her strongest puppet is her trump card (Desta-Ghoul formerly, Run currently) while Esdeath had to create her own trump card - Mahapadma - because Demon's Extract didn't have one installed either.

For all we know; Murasame might be one of the latter two type of Teigus where it's user either has to meet certain requirements to use the trump card or create her own trump card, but in any case, most Teigus have a trump card so it would be unlikely if Akame's Murasame didn't have one.​
