What's with Itachi and vs. threads?

I see a lot of threads comparing Itachi and someone else. The OP then praises the other party while downplaying Itachi to the lowest depths of childish behavior. It's pretty ironic though, that the number of vs. threads Itachi is in, still downplayed, and yet acknowledged as one of the most powerful characters in NV, without the OPs even realizing it.

For Obito, just look at my sig. For Minato, his Hiraishin might do the trick but only if Itachi's Susanoo doesn't manifest as soon as it crosses Itachi's mind.

You forget that stamina isn't the only stat in shinobi's capabilities. You also forget that while being sick and blind, he was still superior and praised by everyone. Only Kishimoto knows how powerful he'd be without the handicaps. We can only imagine.

I agree, but I think the exaggeration is more in favor of those who try to downplay him, exactly because he was so praised throughout the manga.
