The Ghost or Spiritual Realm :-

Kaguya's Conquest for Chakra :-
Conclusion :-
After Obito died, his soul went to a whitish realm and he met Rin's soul. Considering this, to me it seems that Obito's soul after his death went to the Ghost Realm.
We already had direct evidence when Black Zetsu himself states that there are Six Realms with One Realm connecting the other Five realms.
The connecting Realm i.e; Ghost Realm connects the Ashura, Deva, Naraka, Human and Animal Realms in which souls keep on reincarnating.
Taking the above into consideration, It would seem that the Ghost Realm is a Spiritual Realm filled with Spiritual Energy which is Chakra. The other Five realms are Physical Realms where physical entities exist.
As such, it would make sense that the Spiritual Realm or Ghost Realm would connect the other realms as the Soul is Spiritual Energy itself.
This would explain how Kakashi got so much Chakra to use PS. Since, his own soul went to the Ghost Realm, it would make sense that he would get an enormous quantity of Chakra (Including Obito's Soul Chakra) which would be more than enough to summon it.
Notice how Obito's soul or Chakra is decipted. Perhaps, his Kamui was amplified due to the Chakra in the Ghost Realm.

When Naruto and Sauske had a Near-Death experience, I think they went to the Limbo Realm (Between Life and Death). Considering that Rikudou was a wandering Spiritual Entity there and he gave Naruto and Sauske powers.
I would say that the Limbo Realm is also a part of The Ghost Realm. As, such the Ghost Realm is the place where ghosts (Spiritual entities) reside and people who had a near-death experience could temporarily visit it (In Limbo).
It would seem that Madara was able to manipulate the Ghost Realm and connect it with the Human Realm (Shinobi World) via his technique "Limbo Hengoku" similar to how Kaguya does it.
Notice how Madara's Limbo Clone looks like a Ghost which can only be sensed by Sage Mode or the Rinnegan.

If Kaguya wanted to absorb all chakra, then it would make sense that she will go the Ghost Realm and absorb all the Chakra there.
Not to mention, Chakra also exists in the other Five Realms too. Because Chakra in a way is Spiritual Energy. As such, Kaguya needs an army to conquer all the Six Realms as proposed by my Theory :
Only when all the Six Realms are conquered, will Kaguya be able to make all Chakra one.
Note: Taking this further, you may say that in order for Kaguya to go to the Ghost Realm, she has to conquer the Five Physical Realms first.
Only After conquering the Five Physical Realms, Would Kaguya be able to open a connection to the Ghost Realm (All Five Realms connect the Ghost Realm).
I think that Kaguya's current Realm connecting technique (The Third Juubi Eye Technique) causes a lot of Chakra Wastage and as such is not a feasible option to go the Ghost Realm.
Not to mention, Chakra also exists in the other Five Realms too. Because Chakra in a way is Spiritual Energy. As such, Kaguya needs an army to conquer all the Six Realms as proposed by my Theory :
