One of the biggest reasons I converted from the anime to the manga years back was to prevent myself from being spoiled by those who read it, like I was so very often no matter where I went. Now, I fear that whole purpose may have been in vain as info for this final film continues to be leaked. I really wish Kishimoto and the anime studio had held off on releasing anything in regards to this film until the manga finished. Now, I'm going to have to be cautious from now on where ever I go again, and I hate that. I didn't want to know what naruto and sakura looked like just as I didn't want to know that they were alive in the first place or that the film takes place after the manga when the damn manga isn't even finished yet and we weren't supposed to know its outcome until it was.

What do you think? Has this film's info negatively affected the manga's suspense, transition and expectations for you or not?

What makes you think they are alive? That could totally be someone's infinite tsukuyomi dreamworld.

Considering it was foreshadowed that Naruto and Sasuke may die in their fight if it occurs, yes. And yes, people in Naruto actually die, unlike in One Piece .

It doesn't what?

People have definitely died in one piece. Literally the very first thing you see in the first chapter (besides the cover) is a man about to be executed.

How often does a MC in a shonen manga die?

The release of the designs for this movie is necessary to market it. The words "The Last" are supposed to raise its perceived demand. Releasing drawings of Naruto and Sakura would only increase it's worth.

As long as they don't reveal the whole plot in the trailer, it's fine with me. So as of the moment, I'm not bothered.

Doing it for the fans is one thing. Doing it as a marketing scheme is another, and I agree, that's what it is.

And thus, spoil the manga.

A trailer would spoil things period.

Did he stay dead? Nope.

Actually, Goku was meant to stay dead in the Buu arc, and Gohan was supposed to kill Buu, but Toriyama feared backlash from the fans so he changed the story and brought Goku and Vegeta back.

That's what it really is. This movie can be viewed as a big attempt to go out with a bang, and with a bang I meant financially, not plot-wise.

And thus, spoil the manga.

The plot hasn't been revealed has it? For all we know, those designs could either only be used for 2-3 minutes And Sakura could probably have died. Remember RTN designs released two years ago? The whole Konoha 11 and Sasuke were only there for barely 10 minutes, and yet those images were one of the first to be released.

They could also not release Sasuke's design, and he could still be there in the movie. If they have the right/power to release info for the bait, they could also hold the right/power to withhold it.
It's a marketing strategy, and the fact that it's already making some people anxious about it and the manga proves that it's working.

The only thing that's spoiled is the appearance. What they do in the movie is yet to be determined.

A good trailer is something that's good enough to make you want to go see it but does not reveal entirely the movie in 2-3 minutes time. That is up to the animation team to do that.

I hate money....

This film is canon though.

Well, not for everyone. It's starting to piss me off and I'm thinking about dropping the manga until it's finished so that I won't be spoiled any further. I'm sure some who buy the manga feel the same and if so, it would effect chapter sales.

The only thing that's spoiled is the appearance. What they do in the movie is yet to be determined.

We'll see. Or rather, maybe I shouldn't say we since I'm unsure I'll stick around to find out.

And those who allow the trailer to be released.
