Hey guys,

Ever since last chapter, I've been pondering about the position of 6th of Hokage and who will be the next candidate for it. Obviously with what went down this week and the fact that this new movie is coming out, things are definitely taking a turn. Disregarding this stuff, I would have said that Naruto would be the 6th and Konohamaru the 7th based of what has been hinted since part 1. Honestly, I don't know whether I should take what Obito said seriously first of all. It really isn't his decision to make as to who should be the next Hokage or not since he isn't Tsunade. Considering the fact that he's been an antagonist since before this series began resulting in 1000's of casualties of innocent shinobi, including Neji, Kushina and Minato through his actions etc, I really don't see him as a character who is going to gain respect from anyone else besides team 7. So for him to call the shots like that was something that had upset me when I first read the chapter.

Now secondly, this is my own personal opinion, but Kakashi should not become the next Hokage. Although he does deeply care for his comrades, he is not one to really openly show it has he is very reserved. He hasn't shown any form of motivation to becoming the Hokage in the first place, and even when he was put into the position where he was going to be appointed, he had a sigh of relief when Tsunade had woken up from her coma. Unlike Kakashi, guys like Naruto and Konohamaru have had the dream since they were very young of becoming Hokage. What was so interesting about these two characters is that they had although they had the same way of going about it in terms of achieving this goal, they were looked at in two different lights among the villagers. Naruto was obviously hated for who he was, and wanted to get admiration through his actions and gain the respect he deserve, whereas Konohamaru hated the fact that people referred to him as young master and treated him like a hero although he had proved nothing. The fact that he noticed this at this age was truly intriguing, considering any other kid would thing they could achieve anything considering their grand-father was the current Hokage at the time. Naruto was the only one who wasn't afraid to hit him and tell him the honest truth that becoming Hokage is no easy task which made Konohamaru gain respect from Naruto since that day.

Going back to Kakashi, even when they show flashbacks of when he was a child, he was nothing like these two guys. He has really shown no interest in anything when it comes to life accomplishments and would rather chill and read his novels, although since transitioning from the anbu to becoming a team leader, has had changed a lot. But at the end of the day, he does not posses the will of fire to the extent of Naruto considering that it was Naruto who has encouraged him throughout 90% of this war. As soon as Obito was unmasked, he was completely lost and just couldn't do anything. When he re-united with Naruto, he relied on his student this whole entire war while he admitted he was helpless. This has been the case against most of the Obito fight, the Madara fight and the Kaguya fight until he got a questionable power-up which is only "temporary". How can Kakashi be given the task of protecting the village and those who inhabit it if he is going to rely on Naruto for everything? Considering the fact that he doesn't have the sharingan anymore, he is going to be even weaker then he previously was. So even though he is the 6th Hokage, Naruto is going to end up saving this day? After all, Kakashi was only capable for beating one pain before he ended up getting killed, only to be revived through Naruto's efforts with Nagato.

If you think that the task of is just about governing and politics, your dead wrong. If you remember the words of the Hokage when they pass the title onto the next, they always say something a long the lines of protect the village and the people. This has been said since Hokages 1-3. You might as well appoint someone who cannot throw a Kunai at all to become the Hokage if that's what being Hokage is all about. I also here a lot of people saying that Naruto is too young to become Hokage and that he needs someone to mentor him. Look at Garra and Sarutobi, they were insanely young when they became Kages. And interestingly enough if you remember the kage summit arc, it was interesting how Mei had said how pure Garra was in comparison to the Tsukage back then when they were having an argument with each other. Naruto is very similar to those two, he is young, but by no means has been exposed or changed through growing up in a corrupt environment. I'm not saying that Kakashi is corrupt or anything because he isn't, but the whole argument of Naruto being too young doesn't make sense.

Lastly i'll say this, but I don't see Tsunade giving up the title of Hokage just like that. She still has years in her left before she can eventually appoint her successor considering she has only be Hokage for about 3 years. The relationship between Tsunade and Naruto is amazing, especially since part 1 how Naruto says the same words as Dan and Nawaki who he is pretty much an embodiment of. Don't you think if would be a beautiful moment seeing Tsunade passing off the title of Hokage to Naruto? This is a moment people have probably been waiting for since part 1 of the series, and to suddenly change this and disregard what has happened in the past for the sake of Obito who is probably the most hated character in the series, it just doesn't make sense to me.

Thanks for reading my post, and feel free you state your own opinions on this.

I think he should become'hokage, afterall current Naruto wouldn't be too mature and is young, while Kakashi has probably what it takes to become one.

Also the cycle of Hokage is kind of Sensei-Student

Tobirama - Hiruzen, Minato, (Then kakashi), then Naruto.

Long ass block of text...
If not Kakashi, who? You think a 17 year old should run a village, simply cause he's powerful and wants to? Tsunade had no desire to become hokage, but when she did, she did her best to protect the village. What makes you think Kakashi wouldn't do the same?
