Try cropping the image, it should eliminate the stretching when you resize in most cases.

Instead of stretching, scale the stock or render and crop it to the desired size.

They seem okay, but the stretching's a bit annoying. You gotta crop the renders/stocks first, and then resize it. Don't resize stuff directly.
