So, I want to get my gf to watch Anime and since she really likes romantic stuff, I would like to look at some of them.

Toradora! is pretty great. There are only 25 episodes and it takes place in a school setting. She might like it. Oh and Sword Art Online season 1 had some romance.

Clannad, definitely. It's a high school romance, so there's a few clichés, but there's just no other romance series out there that can touch it. She might wind up crying in your arms, so you can thank me later lol

''Everyone has a circle of friends they hang out with. It's just confusing and irritating. And their prankster friends Mayoi and Sakaki aren't much help. Especially Mayoi, as it gives her one more thing to tease Tsumiki over. Hime, the fifth member of their usual gang of five isn't much better, because she's not really well connected to reality anyway. Which leaves Tsumiki stuck in a quandary. Are she and Io just best friends? And is it worth risking that for what Tsumiki wants?''

I rate this anime 10 out of 10, watched it with my ex, she liked it U_U

Clannad without a doubt, no other anime holds a candle to it with the romance aspect.

Okazaki Tomoya is a delinquent who finds life dull and believes he'll never amount to anything. Along with his friend Sunohara, he skips school and plans to waste his high school days away.

One day while walking to school, Tomoya passes a young girl muttering quietly to herself. Without warning she exclaims "Anpan!" (a popular Japanese food) which catches Tomoya's attention. He soon discovers the girl's name is Furukawa Nagisa and that she exclaims things she likes in order to motivate herself. Nagisa claims they are now friends, but Tomoya walks away passing the encounter off as nothing.

However, Tomoya finds he is noticing Nagisa more and more around school. Eventually he concedes and befriends her. Tomoya learns Nagisa has been held back a year due to a severe illness and that her dream is to revive the school's drama club. Claiming he has nothing better to do, he decides to help her achieve this goal along with the help of four other girls.

As Tomoya spends more time with the girls, he learns more about them and their problems. As he attempts to help each girl overcome her respective obstacle, he begins to realise life isn't as dull as he once thought.

Sword Art Online is also romance but I wouldn't exactly find it a good recommendation if you ask for romance anime.
Yosuga no Sora: In Solitude, Where We Are Least Alone if your girlfriend is into that incest romance. (lel)

I only gave a summary for the anime that has legitimate good romance.

Eureka 7, it's animated by Studio Bones and the animations is pretty good even by today's standards. More importantly, the romance is amazing & it's a mecha. anime.
