They have to realize now though, sealing is the only way to stop Kaguya. Remember Kaguya, just like Obito, also has a dimension traveling technique. If she goes to the after life, she'll just come right back and won't go back to the after life peacefully like Obito did. She'll take over someone's body probably like Dan's ghost jutsu.
