Really, I keep reading that Naruto killed BZ or at least separated him from Kaguya so that he now can be easily disposed off.
First off, BZ is no ordinary creature that can be sliced apart easily.
Here we see Naruto ripping off the main part(s) of BZ where his face was and throwing it away - but BZ's face just appeared at the next part of his black substance. It didn't hurt him at all.
Now people might say "Ok, BUT that only worked because he was still in Kaguya's sleeve, if that part is destroyed/ripped off, he dies/is separated from her!"
But BZ isn't just connected to Kaguya's sleeve either. That's how Kaguya got revived in the first place:
Kaguya was revived by Black Zetsu fusing with Madara's body. He is connected to her whole body and is essentially a part of it.
So, bottom line, BZ most likely can only be defeated if Kaguya is sealed away together with him.
