Konohamaru could also do 1000 clones. Well, perhaps he'll do less than 1000 because he has lower chakra reserves than Naruto, but still, he could make them all use the Rasengan and it's a GG lol.
Konohamaru can do about 2 clones :|

Lol, Current Konohamaru. Naruto only had Uzumaki Barrage and Harem Jutsu. Konohamaru has to the same to counter his attacks, PLUS rasengan. Konohamaru owns.

Counter 1,000 clones? Alright then.

Konohamaru can do clone jutsu too, he's practically a clone of Naruto so I'm pretty sure he can make enough clones to counter most of them, if he isn't experienced enough to make enough to match, then use Burning Ash to get rid of the rest... So, yeah. I'm pretty confident Konohamaru can counter 1,000 clones.

I'm just comparing move sets of the two. Naruto's only high-light at this time was clones and kunais, current konohamaru can definitely counter his clones, with: attempting to match him with shadow clone, cloning those shurikens to attack the clones, burning ash. Then, eventually, he could rasengan Naruto. Of course, Naruto has nine-tails, but he didn't know how to control it and didn't want to trust it so it'd be harder for him to call it for strength.
