If we're counting Orochimaru as an Akatsuki, I'd put him between Deidara and Sasori.
Yes, Kisame is above Itachi for a reason.
Also Kakuzu is very underrated he is stronger than Deidara or Sasori.

I'm going by MS Obito, because Akatsuki was kind of gone when he got Rinnegan. Also using Pain instead of Nagato because he fought through Pain.

9. Zetsu (Black Zetsu can attach himself and has shown mad durability)
8. Konan (No prep of course, flying and paper seals make zetsu fodder)
7. Deidara (beats Konan because Explosives > Paper really)
6. Sasori (Poison ends the fight before Deidara pulls off C4. Iron sand can arguably tank explosives better than Gaara's sand)
5. Kakuzu (Has the agility to dodge Sasori's attacks. His elements are also going to rape any puppet. Water > Iron sand)
4. Kisame (Kakuzu's lightning is too weak to be real effective against water dome. Kisamehada will destroy Kakuzu)

3. 2. and 1. Itachi > Obito > Pain > Itachi.

Itachi beats Obito because given his intelligence being higher than Kakashi's he can figure out Kamui by using exploding water clones. Amaterasu was able to hit Obito despite seeing it coming. Cripple that with clones in the other dimension gives Obito a tough fight.

Obito beats Pain because none of his attacks will have any effect. Nagato can't use his paths in the Kamui dimension.


Pain beats Itachi because dead bodies can't be manipulated by genjutsu.
