PEACE
In a War to bring peace to the world would I be a bad guy if I sacrificed a few to save many? Would the number saved outweigh that what was lost? The truth being those having lost would carry the torch of hatred for those they have lost , possibly creating more hatred? Is this the reality of the world , or the truth of our times? Peace is an ambiguous concept brought about through common extrinsic values of that time period people hold dear to them, but one thing is for certain, as the long flow of time continues history repeats itself and humanity sings the song of peace while beating the drums of war, what a contradiction? With our past doing all the hard work for us, why is peace still not attainable for mankind, and when will history have quenched its thirst for blood?
People can say Naruto is not a realistic character maybe a little too perfect or childish when it comes to his ideas of peace and how he goes about making these ideas a reality within the story but in honesty NarutoVerse is set in a unrealistic world where the plot is set around certain ideas and we as mankind are far from this mindset of peace and that is why it's hard for certain people to accept Narutos character.
NARUTOS REASONING
If one thing is the truth from the story of Naruto it's that we as mankind are inherently a violent species with a cycle of hatred as said in Naruto, this itself is never ending and Naruto isn't a real character per se but a character we should strive to live by no? Let us venture on a whim with this rhetorical question here... "If someone comes to kill you with a weapon but is stopped in force and apprehended do you also reprimand the weapon used in the assault?" You could then reply "no because people kill people not the weapons." Which is true but where im getting at is a little different because to have a enemy is to also have a friend as to have love is to also have hate think about it... Obito being the attacker his weapon in hand the hatred of this world and Narutos understanding of his pain from this hatred is also the understanding of a friend even though they are enemies...
OBITO IS COOL BUT WHY?
So for Naruto to say Obito was the coolest why not? You people who disagree should understand yourself first before judging the reasoning for Naruto stating that remark. Obito saved Naruto twice, Sasuke, Sakura, and Kakashi once, changed the tide of war against Madara, and Katsuya when all he could have done was lay down and die yet he chose the path we as people sometimes find the hardest in the real world which is admitting our wrongdoing and facing the consequesnces ... Obitos death was inevitable and yet he died with some dignity, better that than none while changing the change he brought upon the world which is pretty damn cool and if I ever face my death seeing my end coming i'd hope I could face it with some dignity as well...
It could also be said that by bringing all the hatred of the ninja world bearing down on himself and his collective entity or "Fourth Shinobi War" that Obito could be a forefather of this peace between the villages to follow after the war... Black Zetsu excluded because his end game was Katsuya
