It may not be true but from the info we have now plus common sense and logic its safe to assume until proven otherwise that this movie is indeed canon.

Its in a whole different boat from RtN, the situation and timing are completely different so we cant use that as a reference for the last movie. Its so obviously canon and we shouldnt be waiting until its confirmed canon to treat it as such we should be waiting for it to be confirmed as non canon before we start analyizing it as a non canon movie. Im truly sorry if that doesnt make sense to you, but with the timing of the movie release and the details given to us from an analyitical standpoint its more beneficial to treat it as canon until otherwise proven not to be.

When we were discussing you made your assumption a solid fact with completely no solid evidence... But as you now said "treat it" means you're not sure of it, but more likely it is a canon (you assumed it is a canon, but didn't turn your opinion into fact).. Im on ur side at this point.. Being the first canon movie, i have high expectations of it.

Things i want to see:

New ninja system. Sasuke wants to completely change the ninja system, so a new system is expected to be depicted in this film

Naruto v sasuke. This fight needs to be in here or at least a reasonable way around it explained.

Feeding off the last one the hokage seat. Who gets it and how and why.

Aftermath of gai. What state is he in now. His shinobi days SHOULD be over. I expect him to be aa academy teacher since hes so obsessed with youth.

Uchiha legacy. Both itachi and obito are known as criminals throughout the ninja world even though in the end, they played key parts in saving it. How will they be remembered.

Major death. Thats one thing this series has been lacking, i want to hear of a main characters death either from the end of the war or one to occur in the movie itself.

What happens to kaguya should be explained if shes dead or if she succeeded in some way.

Also i want to see k11 development, where are they now, rank and skill wise.


I know this may be a lot for one movie but i feel whatever isnt answered in the movie will be answered later on in part 3 which looks as the direction kishi is going with this.

What do you guys expect from movie and post movie?

Yeah, in the preview it said that it will go beyond the manga. So its a given that it is gonna be canon.

OT:Naruto also wants to change the shinobi system. I kinda wanna see how Sasuke gets along with everyone now that he is back. Naruto was foretold start a revolution so I hope that that is what this movie is about. Guy aftermath will be awesome as well. K11 development would be sweet, but I also wanna see how strong Naruto and Sasuke are now that they have had years to polish their abilities

That would be stupid.

what if this is kishi's ending to the manga?

Well considering its the start to a "new era" project i find it highly doubtful that the movie is the end. If not a part 3 than at least a short final arc to tie everything together
