She didn't start going for the kill until chapter 684. Naruto has gotten 3 hits(2 which didn't do any real damage) in and she almost killed the two in chapter 686.

Lava is not killing them. Sasuke's incomplete Susanoo tanked Mei's lava style.

Well tbh i like how the current fight isnt just a huge brawl throwing big atks at each other. Huge scale fights arent interesting in the long term imo, however im sure the current fight will have its giant atk back and forth moment eventually.

The ash bones are a great ability that is as deadly as a TBBRS, yet its similar to a simple kunai, letting unique strategies be used with them. We could use more stuff like this.
