Actually there are never one that ever defeated Madara in true honours way, Not even the great Hashirama.
Proof:-
In the picture above Madara look still fine although having fight Hashirama and all of his massive jutsus.
At picture above although he have fighting with real Hashirama and also his wood clone. He still look fine and show a hint that he still have much energy to continue to fight for longer period while Hashirama and also his wood clone look very tired/fatigue.
Look at the picture. The act of coward and un honourable or creditable way displayed by Hashirama to defeated/kill the very skilful and never give up Madara.
The only way to defeated him is just in non fighting situation or sneak attack.
How you'll able to denied this fact.
This is undeniable.
He is the greatest Shinobi that just able to be defeated by coward and sneaky way. That's mean if someone want to defeated him in true warrior way. They will never ever able to defeated him because his intelligence, battle prowess, tactic, technique is on another level even Hashirama.
I'm asking you for this situation, How is Madara able to handle Hashirama after Kyuubi been nerf by Mokujin. That mean after that Madara must fight using his Susanoo only but Hashirama have various kind of godlike arsenal. That absurd if he able to fight that all and in the end showing not even little fatigue, not to say he's not fatigue but he is.
He still not defeated in very Honourable and in real/true warrior manner
For someone that are able to defeated him in brave manner, they can be called great
Madara not needed protection from NLF spiritual weapon, Madara not needed Kamui to become great, Madara not needed to become MC to become great, He just need his brain to gain more power.
From already skilful shinobi into godlike shinobi by using his brain.
Put aside that pulling the string coward action by BZ. No coward can defeated Madara infron of him not back.
Until than no one is the Greatest Shinobi. Its Madara only.
