Power equals liking a character?

Why do some people think power is what makes 80% of a character's personality?

I noticed that the majority of NB like the strongest characters for almost no reason at all except for power or that person beats a certain character they have never liked in the series.

Why is this so?

Sadly itachi fans are number 1 in this category ..Itachi was strong but his character was more appealing..He was just strong as to the level of kakashi when fought with kakazu

Well, you can't expect the NB users to be 20+, it's manga we're talking about after all. Sure, there are all kinds of manga, but still...

And I don't know why they do this, everyone has a point of view.

Not really, Itachi is a decently powerful character. Its just that there are so many Overpowered characters now in the series that Itachi is at the lower end. His personality is above all others though.
