How is Hiruzen stronger than Hashirama?

Hiruzen is called the strongest hokage so far and the 3rd to be called the God of Shinobi and the Professor but Hashirama could take on Madara and Kyuubi at the same time and defeat them both while being the 2nd to be called the God of Shinobi. Does this mean Hiruzen was stronger the Hashirama or he was a better hokage than Hashi. Your thought please.

That was only stated in the databook anyway, where the amount of exaggeration is even greater than in the manga.

Only the first databook referred to him as the strongest of the Hokage, but that's all meaningless now that we know the monsters that Madara and the other Hokage were and after these

Hiruzen uses all techniques to exist in the leaf. That's why he was called the professor and god of shinobi. No one can stand up to all techniques in the leaf. Its too much versatility and power for anyone, even Hashirama.

Regardeless of what was said before, he got retconned. That's what matters now.
Even Minato had better hype (better because it wasn't fallacious) back in part 1, especially since we never got to see him in action back then. On the other hand Hiruzen got his moment and didn't correspond the least.

Why are you bringing up his feats, his weakness? By feats base Hashirama would low-diff him and i'm being very generous by not claiming he utterly stomps.
When Kishi makes Hiruzen spend most of his time doing Kishi knows what during a war and contributes the least after being reincarnated, you know he got retconned, hard.

Don't think i'm hating or trying to downgrade him though. Hiruzen is in my top 10 favorite Naruto characters and i'm all about Hiruzen, but he got poorly executed by the author. And by poorly i mean on a female level, he gets trolled almost as hard as them.

Juubito and Madara were lucky he wasn't revived in his Prime. Edit: He took on GuruGuru who was using a wood release user and had in in stalemate even with the colosal technique. #BelieveTheHype
