This is not a bashing thread by any means. This thread may go against your opinion, however its purpose is to point out the flaws and inconsistencies that revolve around the main character Naruto Uzumaki.
(Not in a particular order...)
The contradicting message of his character
His inability to achieve anything alone
His unrealistic emotional capacity
Character representation
Abilities
Would List more, but I'm trying to keep it short. So what are your thoughts? Do you agree? and if you disagree, why so?

The contradicting message of his character
Since part 1 Naruto's purpose was to show us, that through hard work and perseverance you can achieve great things. This is evident during the initial progression of the story with Naruto being portrayed as a typical useless prankster with the impossible ambition of becoming the respected holder of the title Hokage. Then nearing the end of part 1, as a the equal rival of the prodigy Sasuke Uchiha. Achieving it through hard work and help from his friends. The inspirational "message" which was Naruto's character, has greatly reformed over the advancement of the series. This is due to Naruto having been born with far more capability than most Shinobi. Being part of the Uzumaki clan which hold very powerful abilities, as well as growing with a powerful chakra beast sealed within him; which can be argued to be a disadvantage as well. A vast majority of Naruto's victories have been due to these. However, a deciding contribitor as to why Naruto's message is a contradicting one, is the fact the fact that he is "The Child of Prophecy". He was destined to succeed, fate will always be on his side, no matter the harshipds he may have faced, or will face, he will succeed. This completely goes against what the "original" Naruto, which we came to love, was all about. Leaving his entire character as a mere contradiction.
His inability to achieve anything alone
A lot of people will disagree with me on this one, however this a reason as to why I dislike him. An important determinant for a majority of Naruto's victories has been the significant amount of external assistance he receives. Albeit through the Kyuubi, Kakashi, Konaha 11,even his deceased parents in spiritual form, etc. This puts his character in a bad view for me, because it always leaves me asking the question,"Would he have been able to do that without its/his/her help?". Till this date I cannot think of one fight he has truly won by himself. I know that this is meant to be what his character is about, growing strong through others. Viewing it through the audiences perspective, it only seems to come out anti climatic and "stale". I hope Naruto will achieve something at least by himself before the end of the manga but that's just me being hopeful.
His unrealistic emotional capacity
I know this is a fictional piece of work. But it is a fictional piece that is meant to relate with us. The things Naruto has gone through would be like hell on earth, and the root has been a select group of individuals, Kurama,Madara, BZ, Obito, etc. Yet Naruto has the unrealistic emotional strength to forgive anyone who has caused him pain, without a second thought, going as far as to think their "cool" (Obito). I for one simply can't comprehend how this is meant to be realistic and relatable, for us the readers, Naruto is able to brush away their previous actions and accept them as companions, without even a second thought. It is understandable that he forgives them for their misguided actions, but to accept them and befriend them like their just another classmate....It almost as if he is intended to be this "perfect" character. The exact opposite of what a realistic and relatable character should be like. We should feel their pain, their actions should be "human-like", understandable, to truly be an excellent an believable character.
Character representation
Usually a characters appearance and design is supposed to hold some significance to characters nature or purpose. What is Naruto's design suppose to mean? I mean he's western blonde boy whose wearing a bright orange jumpsuit. In comparison to character designs such as LeLouch from Code Geass[

], Ichigo from Bleach[

], and Vegeta[

]. Each of their respective designs holds a story behind it, a meaning. Naruto's on the other hand is not only visually displeasing but cheesy, and it has barely changed since his introdcution. Moving on to his dialouge, smh. I know I'm not the only one that is absolutley fed up of hearing "believe it" and "dattebayo" every episode, its extremely repetitive and irritating now. A character can be likeable in many ways, design and representation is one of them, and frankly Naruto's is terrible.Abilities
Naruto has recently been displaying very impressive feats, there is no denying this. However up till this point what has Naruto been using for a majority of his battle? Rasengan variants and Kage Bunshin, smh. This is again extremely repetitive, since we've been seeing Kage Bunshin since chapter 1. I am not sure whether Kishimoto is purposely doing this, to try and kick in the nostalgia factor, but for personally it's only caused a multitude of face palms. Even for someone coming from a diverse background as his, with the Uzumaki clan, and his fathers S/T, he still only displays a couple justu and their variations, really makes you question his versatility as a shinobi. But more importantly makes it much easier for much of his battles to grow "stale", and dislike them.
