What do you think of Naruto's mindset involving Obito?

You know as well as I do that Biju's have a level of intelligence similar to humans and tigers don't :| You wouldn't be able to tell the difference between Kurama and normal human if you were blind
Good point. By the standards set in this thread, shouldn't people be also disgruntled about Naruto befriending Kurama?

I'm surely not saying Obito was faultless here, but neither is Kurama. Naruto is also friends with him now but no one's complaining.

Are you talking about when Naruto got his first bm? I remember most people reacting very positively to when Naruto befriended Kurama.

edit: I found the original Manga Chapter Discussion thread.

Lel everyone was complaining how kurama turned into a house pet after 1 chap
Yes, but I'm talking about people complaining about Naruto forgiving Kurama even if he killed his parents. I don't remember reading many complaints like this.

If you look into the thread I linked to in my previous post, a majority of the forum members reacted ecstatically to Naruto forgiving and befriending Kurama.

edit: It seems you responded before I added the link to my previous post. You'll see what I mean if you click the link. Almost everyone had very positive reactions.

^Kurama just didn't want to be sealed again. What he did was kinda understandable.

Sasuke called Itachi 'perfect'.

Hashirama was abt to commit suicide for Madara's friendship.

etc.
Obito is not Naruto's brother who was forced to commit his deeds.

Hashirama was about to kill himself to gain peace between the clans.

Not everyone posts in that thread. People who usually have.something to say make a seperate thread. Its noted tho.alot of ppl were just excited to see the transformation rather than kurama and narutos sudden friendship

Naruto learned to forgive and suppress hatred ever since his dialogue with Nagato, it's kind of what Jiraiya wanted of him. Plus young Obito and Naruto are practically the same character so I don't find it hard that Naruto praised him. It's surprising so many people are getting bent out of shape with this dialogue and it's annoying how exaggerated it has become.

Yeah sure, let me find someone who is just like me and shares the same goals and ideas as me, and after he's done killing my closest friends and causing my parents deaths, I will start to praise him even more and even call him awesome, cool or the brightest person.

Like I said, forgiveness is not a bad thing, but it's the things that you forgive for which draws the line. Naruto's forgiveness doesn't make any sense and he shouldn't be praising someone like that either.

So people can't change? They can't at least try to make up for their wrongs? Like saving the 2 people capable of saving the entire universe we see.

We get the fact that he killed a whole bunch of people including his parents but again Jiraiya truly believed people could understand one another, and that takes a massive amount of forgiveness for that to happen. Why are people complaining about this now and not when he was trying to convert Juubito? As posted before that whole scene shows that Naruto understood why Obito did what he did, so calling him "an awesome guy" now shouldn't be that big of a deal.

If Naruto didn't have the capability of forgiving he would probably turn into another Obito seeing as it was Obito's obsession with Rin's death that made him take the actions he blindly took.

Its so amusing how people are trying to compare these things to what Naruto did XD

So if I kill someone's best friend, not to mention their mother and father, but then I turn around and rescue them from a bus that's about to hit them, I automatically justified and clean from what I did in the first place?

You can make up for what you did, but it still doesn't excuse what you did. You people talk shit all the time about how Sasuke should be punished and not forgiven, but at the same time excuse Obito, just because he decided to turn good and become a Naruto fanboy.

Yes, so your point is that it's ok for Naruto to just praise Obito and call him awesome, after all, he did want to become hokage, so I guess that makes everything better, right?

This base never ceases to amaze me.

Its not Naruto, its Jesruto lol.

OT: Naruto is the most unrealistic character Kishi has ever written. I could understand his respect for Obito, but him calling the coolest guy was way too much.

Sasuke didn't cry, but he had his moment of silence to respect him.

1.) So if I kill someone's best friend, not to mention their mother and father, but then I turn around and rescue them from a bus that's about to hit them, I automatically justified and clean from what I did in the first place?

1.) I don't know how this relates to the story. If it results in saving the whole world, possibly. All in all it's Naruto's fictional decision.
2.) That's what forgiveness is, which Naruto obviously did for Obito. Never mentioned Sasuke but it's safe to assume Naruto forgives him too.
3.) People make mistakes and can be manipulated, again forgiveness.

It's all about forgiveness. Is it rather irrational, yes, but we're talking about a fictional story. Again, hatred/revenge only breeds more hatred and revenge.

True. I simple moment of silence would have been MORE than enough
