Things i didn't like in this chapter 687

Things I didn't like :

1. Naruto's inconsistency in speed and smartness
At one point he can't even dodge kaguya's attacks and after getting an emotional boosts, he out speeds a S/T user and speed blitzes the main villain.

He is displayed really really dumb sometimes but he is also displayed as smartest guy on earth.
For example here :

I don't think i need to put pages of his smartness, he have shown more than enough against kaguya !


2. Naruto saying Obito was the coolest guy.
Well, obito was the main reason naruto's parents died,the reason why sasuke became evil, the reason why thousands of people died in the ninja war and a lot of boy became orphan,a lot of ladies became widows.
He was also the leader of akatsuki once and caused tremendous damage to the whole shinobi even if we exclude the war.
Obito is anything but a cool guy.
In the real world, he would be worse than osama bin laden.

No matter what he do now it wont make up for what he did in the past. You can't replace the value of a human life.
Just because he realized his mistakes in the end would not help anyone and he is NOT A COOL GUY let alone the coolest guy.
He is mass murderer and deserves to rot in hell!

3. Obito not apologizing to sasuke.
Obito killed most of the uchiha in uchiha clan. Obito told the truth about itachi to sasuke and used various methods to control him for his own good.
He is one of the reason sasuke became evil, when he himself came back to good side, he should have at least apologized to sasuke for helping in massacre of his clan and tell him how wrong his path was and some life lessons he learnt which would further help sasuke.

Its like kishi completely forgot obito even had a role in uchiha clan massacre.

4. Fairy tail approach in the manga

"Power of friendship > your fav."
"Friendship power solos"

This is basically what happened when naruto speed blitzed kaguya.
Obito dies -> naruto gets an emotional boost -> he does something which should be impossible in normal circumstances.

5. Trolling sasuke
It is Self explanatory but i will still say it :/

I mean, few chapters ago , sasuke said , "omg even susano doesn't work"
What he do? Uses susano :|

We all know, kaguya can absorb ninjutsu , even naruto was smart enough to know that yet ...
Sasuke uses a ninjutsu attack on her :|

This is the main problem of shōnen; in which the protagonist, just because of the fact that he is the "super ultra kind-hearted" protagonist and thanks to the power of love and friendship he breaks out and is able to pull off something ridiculous and symptom of bad writting. For now, it's not confirmed if Naruto used that speed or if Sasuke teleported him. If it's the former then

Naruto can use any of the abilities of the tailed beasts and implement them in the way he sees fit (magama from Son Goku on the rasen Shuriken, Kokuō on Taijutsu) I think speed comes from Kurama, and the way he cut her arm, was like he did it with a claw. Although I'm not sure, since it hard to see in manga form.

I think she may have attempted to avoid the attack, but Naruto was too fast, or Naruto was targeting BZ, for obvious reasons.

Maybe I'm not remembering right, but wasn't Naruto unable to dodge because of Kagyua's dimension abilities?

Naruto was describing current Obito, the guy who saved them and redeemed part of his mistakes, the one who had the same dream of being a Hokage, it was in the spurt of the emotional moment. He also could have meant Kid Obito, before he ended up in the wrong path. Naruto understood Obito, when he saw his past, and realized he could have ended up like him. He thought that was awesome, Obito redeeming himself, and saving him and Kakashi. He is describing the current version of Obito, and how sincere he was, in trying to make up for his mistakes, and what he saw back then when he connected to him when Obito was the Juubi's Jin, how Obito could have been an important figure and respected in his life, how different Obito could have been (just read that chapter). This was directed towards BZ, because BZ has been shitting on Obito, and calling him all sorts of insults, while Naruto thought the current Obito was awesome.

He did the same thing with Nagato. In the end, he judged him, by his final decision (atoning for his sins and taking a leap of faith in Naruto).

A mass murderer should not be called "the coolest guy" in any way.
Naruto never called nagato a cool guy, he hated him till the end until he revived everyone and literally died for him. There was a lot of exchange of words between them before he confronted him and he went to talk to him because they were both pupils of jiraiya. He wanted to know his story and how he became like this and even after all that, he still hated him. And this is the way how it should be.
You simply can't call a mass murderer a cool guy, period.

That's because Kishi dumb Naruto down a lot, he smarts are battle wise which allows him to come up with strategies that are unpredictable and he use this to beat people much smarter than he is. Naruto didn't fully master his speed at first, he had some control of it after his incomplete training with Bee but he barely used the speed. I also think Kishi didn't allow Naruto to use the speed jutsu like how he have been downplaying the Edo Hokages, Obito, Madara, and Kaguya who all could have been doing a lot better than they are doing now. Madara didn't use any of his Rinnegan abilities but Limbo and C.T on Naruto and Sasuke when we know Nagato's jutsus are all in those eyes and it was Madara who taught Obito who taught Nagato.

Actually it wasn't Obito who made Sasuke evil, it was more Danzo since Danzo made the all other possibilities of stopping the Coup ineffective and even took Shisui's eye when he was going to try and stop it. Danzo making the Uchihas not help when Kurama attacked is what made people suspicious of the Uchihas and hate them for not helping when many ninjas died. Danzo was also Orochimaru's benefactor and aided him in his experiments instead of killing him so Danzo had more to do with Sasuke turning evil. Obito said himself that he told Sasuke the true and let him choose which path to take, he did lie about not attacking Konoha but that was the only lie that was proven a lie from other flashbacks.

That would also make Itachi a mass murderer since he did kill a ton of people himself. Same with Nagato killing many Konoha people. Oh and Sasuke since him giving Bee's tentacle to Obito made the Juubi revival possible so anyone who died from the Juubi or any Juubi jin are all indirectly killed by Sasuke so Sasuke is indirectly a mass murderer as well seeing how the Juubi complete destroyed a village, Alliance HQ, Neji+random alliance members. Minato would also be a mass murder too since in the war he killed a ton of people in seconds; range about 1000 in the anime during the war. Orochimaru is a mass murderer since he killed children, women, anbus all for his experiment which Danzo was supportive of so Danzo is as well. Pretty much most ninjas are mass murderers since would have killed or aided in the killings of many people they come across on missions. Not saying what Obito did was ok because it's not and is unforgivable but he's not the only one.

Obito have nothing to apologies to Sasuke for since it was Itachi who went to him to help and it was Danzo would made others distrust the Uchihas, remove possible peaceful solutions, ordered the mission to Itachi with a side of threat of Sasuke, and further mocked Sasuke by having Sharingans on his arm. Kishi have been trolling Naruto as well as the Edo Hokages, Madara, Obito, Nagato, Kabuto, and it goes on so that's not as big a deal but Kishi could have done a lot better on certain things.

Only going to comment on 5, Sasuke doesn't have natural energy, he has Senjutsu which is the combination of chakra and natural energy to make a stronger form of chakra which is Senjutus. You can absorb Senjutsu without a problem, Naruto was absorbing in natural energy as Pein was absorbing his chakra and is why he took into much but Senjutsu by itself wouldn't have that affect.

Thing is, there are different types of geniuses and Naruto in fact used his smarts to beat people smarter than him. Naruto is battle smart and comes up with strategies that his opponent wouldn't see coming. In part 1 Naruto used his smarts to beat Kiba, Neji, Kabuto, and Gaara who are all smarter than Naruto IQ wise. In Shippuden, it was Naruto's plan that beat Kakashi in the bell test, Naruto outsmarted Kakuza, Naruto used his smarts to be Pein's bodies, beat edo Muu, edo 3rd Raikage, save the alliance by forming a strategy with Kurama and Minato.

Yes you can be smart and goofy, Goku is goofy but when it comes to fighting he's a genius. There are different kinds as I said before. You do know most ninjas from generations above Naruto's all would have killed or helped in the killing of many people right? Minato killed a ton in the war and on missions, Tobirama/Hashirama/Madara would have all killed a ton in their constant war eras, Itachi killed the Uchiha clans, Danzo supported Orochimaru's experiments which resulted in the death of children, women, and men so they both are, Kabuto killed a lot of people and used many as sacrifices for every Edo Tensei, Kisame killed tons of people, Sasuke indirectly killed tons of people by helping the Juubi revival so whatever the Juubi or Juubi jin killed accounts to him as well, Gaara killed a bunch of his villagers; most are people his dad sent to kill Gaara, and it goes on.

Naruto didn't hate Nagato anymore though, when he sees edo Nagato he doesn't hate him anymore at all. Naruto overcame all of his hatred at the waterfall of truth so this would aid him in being able to forgive much better than he was capable before. Many people call Itachi, Minato, Madara, Hashirama, Kakashi, and other ninjas cool but the fact is that they all killed many people in their lives as ninjas due to missions or war. Kurama killed Naruto's parents and many people in the village but Naruto and Kakashi were both cool with Kurama during the war; in fact Naruto said something like Kurama is not a weapon or beast but his comrade.

Naruto's wisdom!

This is an overlooked aspect of naruto and this is what makes him a unique character.This is often confused with Talk No Jutsu.
If Sasuke as Naruto's rival have intelligence, Naruto have wisdom.

Naruto's have shown his wisdom a lot of times but I will be giving a few of examples below :

1. This happened during the pain arc. This is by far the BEST EXAMPLE to show naruto's wisdom.

Almost everyone in the village wanted him to beat the shit out of nagato for what he did to konoha BUT naruto refused!
Naruto, thanks to his wisdom, knew sometimes wars can be won without fighting and that is what he did.
He talked to nagato and with his wisdom (not TnJ) he not only defeated him , he turned him on his side and revived the whole konoha. If naruto listened to those who wanted him to destroy nagato,konoha would be in a much bad state then what it is now.

2. Itachi's faith in naruto

We all know itachi had wisdom of a hokage at age 7 which even made hashirama accept that he is a ninja even greater than himself.

This is what made Itachi different from others. His wisdom!
This is what helped him break the uchiha's curse and not follow the group!

Itachi as wise as he is, also saw wisdom in naruto and this is why he put his faith in naruto and his wisdom!

Other than these,Naruto have also shown a lot of wisdom when he met her mother and didn't blame her and minato for not being with him when he was still a kid.
Also, when naruto talked to obito alone in some other dimension (right after their clash) .
And there are a lot more examples.

I believe this wisdom of naruto is his best quality and this is what made him a very unique character.I have rarely seen anyone mention this and I think it is overlooked by many.

If naruto gets byakugan, he will be able to resist IT and that god tree is not a problem for him because last time i checked he soloed the tree with one jutsu Lol

As for how will he get byakugan, i don't know honestly.

I came up with a few possibilities :

1. Hagoromo gave him the ability to awaken byakugan but naruto have not realized it yet and he will automatically awaken it when the time comes.
2. Kaguya almost kills him, he goes to meet hamura (similar situation to how he met hagoromo) and rest is self explanatory.
3. Hagoromo gave him hamura's chakra, his uzumaki chakra and hamura's chakra will clash resulting in byakugan awakening.
4. Plot no Jutsu. Kishi made madara use susano without any eyes, need i say more Lol
