What do you think of Naruto's mindset involving Obito?

The entire point of Naruto, the message it sends more than anything else, is that understanding leads to peace.

Unfortunately, this fandom largely consists out of idiots like you, so when Naruto shows his enemy he understands them, you call it Talk no Jutsu. It's stupid.

Naruto understands Obito, his factions, his motives, everything. That's why he can't hate. And he doesn't want to hate because hate simply begets more hate.
Obito made Naruto have no parents and was the cause of his loneliness.

I don't care what kind of sentimental conceded bullshit you try to come up with, Naruto is still screwed in the head for forgiving this man, and the fact that you fanboys agree with this twisted mronic rubbish makes me wonder if you would even do the same thing.

Most of you are just all talk and noise. I doubt you would forgive a man who caused you loneliness and killed your own parents.

Well, I think anyone with a decent interpretation skills, would have understood that scene, and didn't think it was Naruto saying Obito was cool because of his past mistakes..

It agrees with Naruto's belief to stop hatred. He forgave Nagato who literally killed nearly everyone in the village alongside his master. At least before he said those words, Obito helped out by saving them.

Don't get butthurt m8.
I'm not though.

Just getting really tired of how this fanbase can't stop and think about the manga and try to understand the characters, before going through with their rant of the week.

This things are most likely are not present in the real Japanese fanbase, but that's baseless on my part.

Would you call the guy that killed your parents "cool"?

l0l my favorite thread is still alive and well, I see.

It's kind of sad that this thread is still alive, though; it means that people are still denying Naruto's retardation.

Would you call the person who shared your same life hardships, had similar dreams, went down the wrong path (that you might also have ended up in) but became sincere, redemmed himself, saved your life and your teacher's, and accepted his punishment ''cool''?

Naruto is talking about the current Obito, and his right decisions and his dream of being a Hokage. I'm baffled on how this goes over the heads of some people?

Is the author giving too much credit to his readers, thinking they would understand such an impactful, but subtle scenes? there were some layers in that, and it wasn't a simple scene, it was quite powerful. Again, all I'm asking of those who are ranting about this, to think for a couple of minutes and re-read the chapter (and probably the old chapter where Naruto talked to Juubito) and try to understand and wonder why Naruto said that, and what he meant, and what he was referring to, while paying attention to the context of the situation and Naruto's emotional nature, and personality.

If you did that but still reached the same conclusion and your opinion didn't change, then the more power to you.

Cool, awesome, amazing, great what's the difference.
The difference is in the context it is used. That people don't seem to understand. Obito was awesome because he had changed to who he was before. Than what he was not when he was being manipulated by Madara. He was clearly talking about the current Obito who tried to make things right. Not the mass murderer who killed innocent people in the past. I see nothing wrong with what he said. People are over exaggerating it like they do after every chapter.

Naruto showed forgiveness towards Obito since he recognized his sins and turned away from them in his final days. In Christianity. Jesus healed a soldier who captured him to have Him killed, and He even prayed for the people who were mocking Him in His final breaths. The Bible also frequently says that God (Jesus) chooses to forget the sins of those who repent to Him. Similarly, Naruto isn’t thinking about any of the bad deeds that Obito did. The Obito that Naruto is complimenting is the man who sacrificed his life for his friends on numerous occasions.

The repentent Obito is also very much like the Prodigal Son in one of Jesus’ parables, while Naruto is much like the prodigal son's father. Luke 15:7 says "I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent."

I’m not saying Kishimoto had Christianity in mind when writing this chapter. However, I’m sure Kishi wanted to similarly portray his main character an exceptionally moral individual who he is capable of the most extreme and the most genuine examples of forgiveness.

Look at this hateful world today. The world would be better if everyone had Naruto's forgiveness.
Why in the world are you criticizing Naruto for NOT being normal? He's the flippin protagonist of this manga, the guy who has the highest ideals as a result of the messed up life he lived. He already dealt with his hatred of people wronging him in the past way back in the pain and turtle island arc.

The only people who shouldn't understand this are the ones that have just started reading Naruto.

Forgiving Obito for doing all those things to him/his loved ones is the right thing to do and you are criticizing the character for doing so just because you wouldn't be able to do it if you were in his shoes?

Yeah this.
