I'm sure Naruto believes that Obito's acts were horrible. I doubt any one would contest that. However, I think that Naruto is capable of looking past previously actions and seeing people for who they are. He is extremely emotionally intelligent and is able to conceptualize where people are coming from and understand why they did what they did. This doesn't excuse the actions (which should be punishable) but at least the insight allows for him to respect the other persons humanity. Because of that, he was able to to show respect towards someone who believed in him (even sharing the same dream) after that person sacrificed their life so that he could accomplish his dream.

The entire point of Naruto, the message it sends more than anything else, is that understanding leads to peace.

Unfortunately, this fandom largely consists out of idiots like you, so when Naruto shows his enemy he understands them, you call it Talk no Jutsu. It's stupid.

Naruto understands Obito, his factions, his motives, everything. That's why he can't hate. And he doesn't want to hate because hate simply begets more hate.

I believe Ghandi once said, "Forgiveness is not a sign of weakness. Forgiving is an attribute of the strong."

Obito redeemed himself before he died. Without him Naruto would be dead, Sauce would be screwed, and the world would turn into Kaguya's empire. Even though he muredered thousands, he theoretically saved the world. R.I.P Obito :(

Naruto would forgive anyone, even if that person made his life a living hell.

It's a good or bad trait imo.

And there's also another saying:"People might forgive, but they never forget."Obito's crimes will always linger no matter what.

This would have made a lot more sense had Naruto known about the curse seal on Obito's heart - slapped on by yours truly, Madara. But since he didn't, I am beyond surprised he forgave Obito for killing his parents and slaughtering Uchiha clan. That man deserved no quarters.

Just when I thought this train-wreck of a character couldn't get any more iffy, it plummeted even lower. I love it how Kishimoto surprises me with Naruto's character every time; there is really no benchmark for Naruto's horridness. It's one or several steps down the curvy ladder every time. It just keeps getting shittier and shittier - Kishi just loves to add this literary poverty wow factor to Naruto's character. It makes him oh so relatable. By God ... ****ing retarded.

CodeProvider said something similar-although he hates the Naruto series.
