The reason obito is white is because he still has the juubi shell right?

Does that makes him stronger or does it puts him in a dissadvantage?

Assuming you're talking about the hair, I thought it was white after he used Rinne-Tensei to revive Madara.
But it's when he became of right before becoming a jinchuriki.
People say it's because of the shell, others say because he cancelled rinne tensei the first time, but his hair still turned white, but he didn't lose any chakra, so it is most likely false.

About the skin, I'm not really sure.
