First of all Madara's Rinnegan was not ripped... That was the black stuff of Black Zetsu which started to cover all of his body and even his eyes! He never exploded, he shrunk like Sakura said! He was taken over and absorbed like Kaguya! She is surpressimg him for the moment... Also Madara character didn't get any closure...
