Can we speculate here that Naruto & Sasuke somewhat shown a resemblance of Hagoromo & Hamura while fighting with Kaguya/Juubi where Naruto/Hagoromo make the work like trick, faint and Sasuke/Hamura devise some plan, get dimension teleport by Kaguya/Juubi and come back by some mean then continue work some strategies with Hagoromo to sealed Kaguya and he also use number of technique to make the strategies finally succeed like what Sasuke will do. Just stay tuned to next chapter. Maybe Kishi want to portray how Hagorormo & Hamura fight to sealed Kaguya from Naruto & Sasuke reflection/showing.

Naruto only got lucky as Kaguya was planning on absorbing their Chakras first. If Sasuke was in Naruto's place then the same thing would have happened. It's only now that she has decided to kill them. And guess what happened? Naruto was getting ***** slapped around despite being shielded by clones.
