I did read the whole thread, and the part im responding to is the title which clearly says "Itachi instead of Minato in Kyuubi attack" so you're the one with the senseless comment.

yata deflects all. It changes into thje same substance / attribute of the attack.
Ex- you attack with a rock. The shield turns into the components of the rock...meaning,.............. You guessed it. Yata would have the same components as a tbb in order to = the resistance to damage

Itachi can only do so much against Obito. Obito is a bad match up against Itachi due to the inability to counter S/T and no Shunshin No Jutsu does not count as a S/T technique and is inferior upon comparison.
