What If Shisui never died?

Lets say Kishimoto was still in the process of writing Naruto and decided to not kill off Shisui. How would the story go? Would he fight for Konoha, or would he have aided Itachi in the Uchiha massacre and join the Akatsuki?

-Itachi's mangekyo sharingan
-Itachi releasing himself from Edo tensei

Thats a good point, but I don't think Shisui would have went down without a fight. I think he was the strongest genjutsu user in the Uchiha clan at the time.

I also think Itachi would have told him about the massacre, either that or spare him.

No, he dies like the rest of them. He lost to Danzo, I'm pretty sure Obito destroys him and takes his eyes.
