This guy is undead, died twice and yet he might be back into this world again.

He died Three times. Izanagi against Hashirama when everyone thought he died properly, In the caves with Obito, and when BZ stabbed him.

getting bisected was inconsequential as he was able to regrow a whole lower body, and it wasn't like it hurt him. What makes this part a definite fail is that the fail is actually on Naruto & Sasuke for not stopping Madara from getting to his other Rinnegan and casting MT, which is the whole reason why Hagoromo gave them that chakra in the first place.
