Madara did try and got his ass beat for a quick sec but then went back to whipping Gais ass and gai could not have killed him he would heal too quickly nice try gai but u were solo'd the worse out of all madara victims to the point gai was basically committing his own death and no he wouldn't beat current naruto

Naruto wins easily. He can compete with Guy's speed thanks to Sage Mode reflexes, can use Kagebunshins to tank Guy's attacks while Guy's health ticks away, and ultimately has far more raw destructive power than even the 8th Gate.

Naruto doesn't break a sweat after firing off several Bijuudama Rasenshuriken.

He not only tanked kaguya's punch which destroyed PS but pushed her back as well. soooo it's pretty obvious that naruto can tank gai's 8th gate attack and defeat him as well. Besides madara was just playing around, if he was serious then gai would have been dead before opening 8th gate
