Top 10 most intelligent shinobi

Who are the most intteligent shinobi in battle and overall of what they do and Did and how they handle things in worse situations possible and of what they thought of like fighting styles justu that they invented

1. Minato... what he did when obito and kurama attacked konoha while kushina was giving birth was a really tight situation he had no intel on obito and took kyuubi out of obitos control and also took obito out and saved konoha from kyuubi plus sealed it in naruto so he could become strong and looked ahead of the future and he invented the rasengan deserves number 1 spot on my list

2 itachi made the hardest decision wiped out his clan and family and he branded himself a criminal for his nation and left sasuke and made him strong and went ahead and planed out his death and the beast part is when he came back as an edo he broke out and that just tells is how intellectual he is and thinks ahead also in battle he is probly one of the smartest shinobi he's calm and analyzez and he deserves number 2

3 tobirama not much to be said he invnted so many justu

4 nagato since he had crippled. Legs he came up with six paths of pain which is smart

Intelligence differs in every area. To find out the smartest, the most one would be the one who scored most points.

1). Madara - He was extremely cautious in his plans. The way he intelligently set out Nagato's darkness and Obito's darkness, having to manipulate their surrounding, so that he would manipulate them and turn them to pawns, was the definition of true genius and mastermind. Not only that, he can formulate ABC plans, if ever one of them would fail. Furthermore, he demonstrated great knowledge in medical areas, such as: Creating a Hashirama clone, using Gedo Mazo's powers to enhance them, and treat Obito's wounds.

2). Tobirama - He possess a lot of intellectual qualities in every area. He can analyze the enemy's technique, and observe counters to them. He was the one behind the political handling of Konoha, and constructed many warfare camps. Like Madara, he has medical knowledge as he was able to experiment Madara's body to learn the secrets of Sharingan. And his invention of many techniques.

3). Orochimaru - A doctor in the best way of description. He studied and hypothesized the Sharingan's origins, and he was right that the Sharingan comes from the Rinnegan. He created methods of immortality, and even went to the depth of creating his dimension through science alone.​

Stopped reading when you said Nagato is smarter than Orochimaru, Obito, Kakashi, Shikaku and Shikamaru, including other guys that aren't included in the list, such as Sasuke, Madara, etc.

1- Shikaku - He was the alliance mindm creating strategies on the spot

2- Shikamaru - Replaced his father

3- Black Zetsu - Fooled the entire verse

4- Tobirama - Has great amount of knowledge concerning the ninja world and showed great analytical skills in this war. I don't put him above the other though because his political measures weren't that great(to not say bad), created a jutsu than shouldn't have been created, was fooled and controlled by them(Madara with the clone or Orochimaru with Edo Tensei)

5- Minato - Showed better analytical skills than Kakashi, make decades planning actually working, create strategies with people he just met

6- Kakashi - Analysed complicated techniques and even managed to fool geniuses like Itachi

7- Itachi - Showed good analytical skills and quick thinking

8- Madara - Fooled Obito

9- Obito - Managed to discover Itachi's secrets without him noticing. I put him below though because it's possible that BZ helped him. Still showed great manipulations though to the point of fooling people like Onoki despite him knowing Madara

10- Orochimaru - Manipulated a lot of people including smart guys like Kabuto

Itachi is among the smartest in the sense he came up with long term plans (although they failed Lol)

In terms of analysis in strategy though he is overrated

Not really. The only thing black Zetsu did is deceive Madara.

-Madara corrupting Obito was his planning.
-Madara corrupting Nagato's villainy was his planning. (Excluding TNJ)

Even black Zetsu admitted that he underestimated Madara's plan.​

Yes BZ lead him to do everything but he didnt actually do it for Madara. Madara was the one on his own to bite Hashirama and use Izanagi to make everyone think he is dead. He awakened Rinnegan on his own, that right there is a feat above everyone else.

He cultivated WZ as well.

Not gonna bother with the portrayal crap,
minato got fooled multiple times against his fight with juubito and madara,
and you being butthurt that i put sasuke just one spot over him is not my problem, since sasuke has shown impressiive intelligence and tactics as well (his fight against deidara, orochimaru, itachi & danzo) which is more than minatos (against tobi, and kyuubi),
