No worries mate ^^

Souji said:
Aigis felt somewhat guilty for not accepting Guv's cheese before. She reddened in embarrassment and looked at her feet, taking a breath.

"When I really get into training, I often shut out unnecessary information. Let's take a short break."

Politely taking the cheddar from Guv, she nibbled at it while they took a water break.

*Guv tilts his head slightly toward his left about five degrees, eyes glancing curiously towards Aigis' embarrassed expression. Not too long ago he was puzzled by how robotic she appeared, and now here she is expressing embarrassment about a simple thing. Perhaps crying over the rejection of the cheese was far too strong... but alas, they both probably needed a short break, not one too long, but not too short either. As they both sit down, he notices some discomfort coming from Aigis... he then gulps, this wasn't going to end well.*

*Guv then looks intently at Aigis as she explains the first jutsu, and creates two shadow clones. This jutsu... seems convoluted, to first tie the opponent to the wire, and then release katon chakra alongside it, seems hard to pull off, but Guv had an idea. He first concentrated some Katon chakra into his mouth for a few seconds before releasing it, after which he creates a clone, which runs at Aigis directly while Guv himself runs counterclockwise around Aigis. Five seconds later, they both arrive at Aigis, at which moment Guv tosses his clone one end of the wire, with which the clone runs around Aigis to tie the wire around the tree. While the clone does so, Guv does the Snake>Dragon>Rabbit>Tiger hand seals, about one per second; by the second seal the clone manages to completely tie Aigis around the tree; by the final two hand seals, which Guv does in one second, he concentrates enough katon chakra to spew it, sending it along the wire to incinerate the clone... and the tree. Guv looks down and sighs, so much for improvement.*

Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: The user will create a small short flame at the opponent. This flame is capable of making the target collapse due to the heat of the technique. This technique requires no handseals.

Rank:E
Type:Supplementary
Range:Short
Chakra Cost:5
Damage Points:N/A
Description:A clone made of the user that can move but(cannot use any jutsu)This clone is merely an illusionary projection of the user.
Note:The clone jutsu can be made with different elements and is a D-Rank jutsu under its own element(Mizu/Water Tsuchi/Earth Sumi/Ink)

*As the tree, the shadow clone, and a little bit more of Guv's dignity burn, he realizes that he, again, forgot to answer Aigis' first question:*

"Ahem, the best time to dodge this technique is when you feel some firmness coming from the cord, as that means that you're actually becoming constricted. Given that the wire and cord are probably not made of chakra, I believe that the Escape Skill jutsu would actually work here, thus giving you a simple counter and making the opponent waste the totality of their time preparing this jutsu. Another time, if no firmness is felt, is when the opponent is preparing the first Snake hand seal, although by this point it becomes more difficult to counter this jutsu."

*Guv then listens to Aigis explaining the second jutsu, while taking note of her increased discomfort. Much easier, this jutsu is {Somewhere on Dagobah, crying Yoda is}. Guv performs a tiger seal in about thirty milliseconds before releasing fire chakra from his breath. Each individual stream of air then becomes a flaming bullet, with seven of the eight released striking at Aigis, while the eighth... striking a bush. Guv tilts his head slightly, not sure if this counts as strike three, and if he needs to fulfill his previous promise from like five posts ago an hour ago and quit being a shinobi. He then begins to answer Aigis' question:*

"I can imagine that combining mud and fire helps deflect water jutsus from completely eliminating the fire jutsu, as earth jutsus counter water jutsus, at least from what I recall. Another thing, you doing okay Aigis-senpai?"

{Sorry if this post seems a mess :sweat:}

Steeling herself, Aigis clenched her fists, concentrating for a few moments. A small rumble in her stomach later, she breathed a sigh of relief. The situation had been somewhat alleviated, but she let out a large belch as a result. Her face reddened.

"Oh my goodness. Excuse me!"

She composed herself.

"Your combination was sound, although you would need to create the clone before performing the fire techniques. You can't use two techniques simultaenously; something like that requires Yin-Yang release; a goal even the strongest shinobi have yet to attain."

"Weave the Rat, Tiger, Dog, Ox, Rabbit, and Tiger handseals. Release a bunch of small fireballs that you can control with your chakra. They'll home in on a target in an unpredictable fashion. If you throw shurikens alongside the fireballs, you can hide them behind the fireballs for a sneak attack."

"You seem to be getting better, Guv, so try it on those bull's eyes. Just be careful not to burn the bushes, alright?"

She walked over to the bush Guv had lit up and put it out with her foot.

( Katon: Hōsenka no Jutsu ) - Fire Release: Phoenix Sage Fire Technique
Rank: C
Type: Offense
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: The user first performs six hand seals Rat → Tiger → Dog → Ox → Rabbit → Tiger and they create a volley of small fireballs, which are sent flying in an unpredictable manner assaulting the enemy. In addition, the flames are controlled one by one with chakra, so avoiding them all is extremely difficult. Shuriken can also be concealed within the flames, creating an unexpected secondary surprise attack. Like the flames, the shuriken can be controlled with chakra. For the most part, however, this technique is used as a distraction.

Poof.

"For the second technique, create a flame that will wrap around my clone here, and burn her up. A useful trapping technique."

"What would be a good follow up technique, Guv?"

( Katon: Honoo no Saigai Hi Kagayaku no Jutsu ) - Fire Release: Flame of Disaster Fire Shine Technique
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: The user releases a flame of fire chakra that converges on the opponent wrapping around them and burning them.

Her stomach suddenly rumbled again.

No... I mustn't give up... for the sake of the shinobi world! she thought to herself, with an expression of fiery determination to suppress the burning sensation in her digestive system.

I actually have a question before I move on to doing these next two jutsus. You mentioned that I'm not allow to use a clone technique after using a fire technique, but I have to use it before the fire technique. I understand that a clone technique, unless specified as an elemental clone (correct me if I'm wrong about this), is a, I believe, Yin technique, and thus using a clone technique while preparing an elemental technique does, in fact, require Yin-Yang release. Yet, wouldn't it be possible to use a non-elemental clone technique if it's been, say, 10-15 seconds after the technique was finished, and thus the chakra circulatory system could retain its normal balance (given no residual effects)? Or is it only possible to use a Yin/Yang jutsu as a first move?

Sorry if this is going to keep the training off track, but I'm curious about this before I go on.

That's an excellent question. I unfortunately must not have clarified my point well enough.

For what you did, you shot the fire stream THEN created the clone. In order to make the flow of battle a little better, I'd create the clone, which would begin running to grab the other end of the cord WHILE you're still using the fire stream. Your combination had no real qualms to it. In fact, it's fine. However, were you going to be using that on me, it would look something like this:

Offensive move (fire stream)
Supplementary move (clone)
Offensive move (Dragon Fire)

that gap in between your attacks (the formation of your clone), gives me ample time to be able to counter. What I meant was that something like this would have flowed better.

Supplementary (clone)
Offensive (Fire Stream)
Offensive (Dragon Fire)

that way, I have to deal with two Katon techniques one after the other, which is harder than if I'm given some breathing room. This relates to the idea of "first offensive action", which we will cover as we move along.

And remember, that jutsu you used is a stream-type, so you can't create the clone until you stop inputting chakra to the fire.

Hope that helps, let me know if you have any other questions :D

Thank you mate :), okay, two more questions:

1.) On June 24th, you said this statement:
Souji said:
"Also, from now on, I want you to state your opinions on each jutsu. That opinion can consist of aspects such as advantages, disadvantages... all the usual protocol. I won't expect long-winded explanations of each technique, as some are less complex than others. But occasionally, I will ask you questions to test your understanding of certain jutsus."
Yet, I just realized that I haven't done this once... yeah :erm:. Do you wish me to go back and do all of this before moving onto the final C-rank jutsus?

And 2.) With the
( Katon: Honoo no Saigai Hi Kagayaku no Jutsu ) - Fire Release: Flame of Disaster Fire Shine Technique jutsu, are the flames attached to you in any way, or are they free flames that you manipulate to constrict the opponent? The reason I'm asking this is because I can't find any pictures of this technique...

Ah, I'm sorry for the late reply. I thought I had replied to this :shy:

1. It's fine. I trust you understand those techniques sufficiently. Just ask questions if you have any. Just be sure to do it consistently from now on. I don't expect walls of text. Just have fun and understand the techniques.

2. They are free flames, a 'spray and pray' style.

Alright, just do those two jutsus and we'll move on ^^

*Guv nods as Aigis explains the two jutus, and again tilts his head ten degree to the left, repeating the same back-forth forefinger movement as before. He first forms the six hand seals at the pace of about two per second and forms six 2x2x2 fireballs by rapidly spewing them out of his mouth, all six in about 1 second. He then notices that the closest training dummy is about 3 meters away from Aigis, who's about 2 meters in front of Guv, so he comes up with an idea. He sends four of the six up into the air, and sends one crashing from Aigis' left about 45 degrees downwards, crashing onto her left ear. While that occurs, one goes towards Aigis' right shin, and two from above get sent towards Aigis' eyes. He then sends the final two forward, one toward Aigis' pelvis, and the other towards Aigis' neck as he prepares some fuuton chakra in his lungs. Two seconds later, as the last of the fireballs hit, he releases the sphere at Aigis, intending for her weakened form to be sent towards the training dummy, aiming for directly in the thorax (middle of chest). As the sphere hits in about 1 second, given their close proximity to each other, he breaths in and then exhales a second later, causing a fire stream to charge towards Aigis, who's now slumped onto the training dummy. It arrives in about 1.5 seconds, climbing up around her clockwise, starting with her left heel, completely squeezing her in about three seconds. As he continues the stream, he grabs a shuriken with his left hand and releases it toward her heart, hopefully piercing it. He then turns towards the real Aigis, breathing heavily for a few seconds, this last one took a bit from him. He then glances towards her and smiles:*

"I sadly don't have the best jutsu types to go with the last jutsu, earth and lightning, but I think that a shuriken or kunai can go somewhat well with it... I hope."

*He then tilts his head as Aigis holds her stomach. His eyes light up suddenly as he finally reaches the epitome, oh no...*

"Please tell me you aren't lactose intolerant."

Type:Attack
Range:Short-Mid
Chakra Cost:15

(that was incredibly technical, I liked it! Maybe a little too technical for the noobs, but hey, in this RP, details are king ^^ good work!)

Guv's last statement wasn't heard. Aigis had already disappeared into the nearby outhouse. From outside, Guv could hear ungodly sounds, as if there was a fight within, not someone going to the bathroom :|

After some rumbling and shaking, Aigis reemerged from the outhouse, rubbing her stomach and keeping what could possibly be the strongest poker face in shinobi history...

You must be registered for see images

"For your sake, Guv, do not enter that bathroom until decontamination protocol has been performed..." she said this in her usual voice, trying to play off, as if nothing happened :|

There was a very short yet noticeable silence. Was Guv judging her? With a slightly irritated expression, Aigis channeled Doton chakra through the ground, and released a small earth pillar below Guv, at his feet, thrusting him upward into the air.

Rank: D
Type: Attack/Defence
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 10
Damage Points: 20
Descripton: Creates small pillars of earth, small tools, and small shields of earth

While he was in mid-air, she spoke.

"Mold Katon chakra and release flaming shots that rain down on your targets. Find something to hit while you're up there!" she said, calling up to him.

( Katon: Rakka Sanran Kasai ) - Fire Release: Falling Fire Scatter
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: The user whilst in mid air will release from their mouth a series of small fire shots that rain down upon the target.

Whether or not Guv had a graceful landing, Aigis spoke once more.

"Our last C-rank technique will have you creating a bright fire in your mouth. Shoot it at a target of your choice, allowing it to burn on impact. Very simple and one-dimensional; which can be a good and bad thing."

"However, note that this technique has a long range limitation, making it stand out from most of the weaker Katon jutsus."

( Katon: Kitsunebi ) - Fire Release: Fire Whisp
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: The user creates a small ball of bright fire from their mouth that shoots at the opponent burning on impact.

*Guv blushed as the... episode occurred. Yep, she's lactose intolerant all right. Guv was deep in his thoughts of how much of a fool (ha) he was when he finally noticed Aigis' annoyed expression... he was about to apologize when a stone pillar launches Guv about 100 feet into the air, back about one meter from Aigis, creating a three meters distance from each other. He notices that five remaining training dummies lie scattered nearby Aigis, and thus he prepares another set of five 2x2x2 in. fireballs. He then releases them one second later (for the sake of this RP and not having to figure out complex falling calculations, I'll myself about 20 seconds in the air), hitting all five targets surprisingly, before realizing he's about 60 feet from the ground. As ten seconds pass (thus leaving his descent to be about 5 feet a second (again, not truly true to life, but I don't think this creates that many issues)), he notices a leaf pile about four meters from his position, and thus prepares a stream of wind before directing it about ten degrees from his head's position (which is about 90 degrees, essentially looking straight) about three seconds later. Unfortunately, he overshot it by about a meter, and thus is, instead, sent rolling through the field until he harshly hits a tree, thus now making him eight meters from Aigis. He struggles up, having to hold the tree with his left palm for momentary support, before dashing towards Aigis, preparing some fire chakra in his mouth. About three seconds later, when he's about seven meters from Aigis, he releases the fireball, about 7x7x7, towards Aigis, but slightly to her left by about five-seven inches, hitting an earlier used target. He then falls, hitting his head on the dirt, his right ankle throbbing with pain.*

Must be sprain, damn, overpushing it here...

*Guv struggles to get up, but only manages to a crouching position as he looks towards Aigis, shouting (give their distance):*

"Um, my apologies about that, if I knew you were lactose intolerant, I wouldn't have been a baby about such things..."

*His mouse, crawling out of his parcel, begins to dash towards him.*

Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid

"It's all right. I won't hold it against you. Perhaps my resistance has increased, thanks to that incident. Well, that's what someone I know would say, anyway..." she said, her thoughts shifting for a second.

Taking a momentary water break, she returned to homeostasis. Wow, such science term, many balance.

"So, for the first B-rank technique, you'll weave the seven handseals Ram, Horse, Snake, Dragon, Rat, Ox, and Tiger. Yes, it's a lot of hand seals, but if you choose to be a fire specialist later on, it's inconsequential. Knead your chakra in your lungs and mouth to become fire, and exhale it outward as a thin, fast jet of flames that spreads out in a conical fashion the farther away it gets from you. It's hot. Very hot."

Aigis points to a statue of Hashirama and Tobirama Senju (that magically appeared :| ). After all, this was one of the techniques Hiruzen Sarutobi used against them in his battle with Orochimaru.

(Katon: Karyū Endan ) - Fire Release: Fire Dragon Flame Bullet
Rank: B
Type: Offense
Range: Short-Long
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: The user first performs seven handseals Ram → Horse → Snake → Dragon → Rat → Ox → Tiger and kneads chakra into flames, which are then manipulated and exhaled as a thin yet incredibly fast jet of flames that spread across the ground as it runs towards the enemy. Its temperature is such that it easily melts the ground as it travels and can reduce an enemy to ash.

"Then, form small, spherical flaming shots in your hands, something like flaming grenades. By throwing them at your opponent, you'll cause explosion, rather than flaming, damage. This is one of my favorite techniques to use in battle, because it's very versatile."

"I have one question here for you. Why does this technique only have a mid-range capabiity, you think?"

Aigis sets up some watermelons to be blown up... :snick:

( Bakuhatsu Enhogan ) – Exploding Flame Shots
Rank: B
Type: Attack
Range: Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user shoots multiple fire shots from their hands that are able to cause fiery explosions on impact with any object. The shots can't set the opponent on fire, though they can cause damage by exploding on him.

*Guv nods as Aigis gives off the newest instructions, begins to form the Ram → Horse → Snake → Dragon → Rat → Ox → Tiger hand seals, at the pace of about 2 handseals per second, as he backs up from the two statues so then a distance of about 10 meters exist (long-range). He begins to inhale as he goes with his best crouching Hiruzen, hidden prime stance, knees slightly bent with his arms both bent at ninety degree arms, with each being parallel to each other for about two seconds. Then, he stomps his right foot forward about six inches as he straightens his arms behind him and exhales, causing a small stream of fire to heads towards the two statues. After five seconds, the fire stream hits the two statues, now being a conical shape, about five inches wide at its apex (its hottest point) and about fifteen feet wide total, thus completely obliterating the statues, leaving nothing but dust and dirt in its wake. Guv winces a little, realizing that he stomped on his weaker foot, but quickly gets over his pain and heads towards the watermelons about ten meters away. As he does so, he begins to concentrate fire chakra within his right hand, similar to the Fire Release Technique taught to him earlier. As he arrives five meters from the watermelon stands, he notices three watermelons in a row, each about six inches from the other, and he condenses the fire chakra into a dense fireball before tossing it. It arrives at the left-most watermelon in about three seconds, exploding both it and the middle watermelon, thankfully leaving the right-most watermelon spared. Thus does Guv smile and turn to Aigis, as his loyal mouse finally jumps into his vest pocket, finally having caught up with him:*

"As you can see, the exploding flame shot jutsu depends upon the strength of the user for its total distance, but also depends upon the chakra itself, and how long it can stay stabilized. At long range it would fizzle out and become a slow fireball, thus being a useless jutsu, and at short range you would be caught in the explosion, so yeah, best use it mid-range. I actually have a question before we move on though, why is it that the exploding flame shot jutsu is incapable of actually setting the opponent on fire?"

Watermelon splatters on Aigis's face. She isn't fazed and instead wipes it off her face and licks her fingers.

Tasted toasty, like chicken :| maybe it was the fact they were blown up...

"Perfect answer to my question. I suppose we'd be delving into theory, but that last jutsu has a different type of flame manipulation. It suggests the explosions are a different form of entropy and energy than actual burning. However, it's still fire, just molded in a different way to take on different properties."

"I hope that answered your question. The next jutsu is simple. It's a branch technique of the Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique, but by inputting more Katon chakra, it becomes larger and stronger, but now only reaches a short range."

( Katon: Hiendan ) – Fire Release: Soaring Flame Bullet
Rank: B
Type: Offense, Deffence
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user exhales a stronger yet shorter version of the Fire Release: Great Fireball technique.

Aigis creates one Shadow Clone.

"After that, form the Horse and Tiger handseals, and exhale a large flaming sphere that has a solidus form to it; it's like a solid, but not, at the same time. Upon making contact with my clone, it should be able to carry her away a short distance before exploding and causing explosion and flaming damage. Note that this technique has a great range, too."

( Katon: Gōenkyū ) - Fire Release: Great Blaze Ball
Rank: B
Type: Offense
Range: Short/Long
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: The user after performing two hand seals Horse → Tiger exhales a big-sized sphere of fire that carries the enemy away and causes a massive explosion on impact. The fire ball has a given solidity property to it, being able to punch through solid obstacles without exploding.

Aigis notices Guv's... companion.

"What is that, Guv?"

*Guv nods as he begins to again inhale as he gathers more fire chakra into his lungs. About two seconds later he exhales, causing a large fireball stream of about ten feet high and nine feet wide to charge forward, reaching five meters in about two seconds before it dies off. Pretty basic material, he notes though, that unlike the Uchiha Tears jutsu (yes, that's canon), there's no handseals to perform, nor any odd ring finger configuration to propel jutsu, but it only reaches short range, regardless of how much more fire chakra he inputs. All in all, pretty basic jutsu, but one that's quite effective at its suited purpose.*

*Guv then performs the Horse → Tiger handseals in about one second before releasing a single fireball in one breath two seconds later, it being 6 feet in diameter across the middle, and 18 feet in circumference. It charges at the Aigis shadow in about three seconds, given she is in mid-range from him, and pushes her into long range before exploding about three more seconds later. The explosion has a diameter of about 36 feet and continues for five seconds (such explosion, many tears, wow). Guv then turns to Aigis, who seems entranced in the explosion, but also asks Guv about his mouse companion.*

Guv: Ah, my mouse friend, he's named Yangus, found him abandoned many years ago. He's pretty much the friend I have, but I haven't minded too much over the years, although you're pretty nice yourself.

*Guv smiles as he says this.*

{Question time: With the Mist Blaze Dance jutsu, does any fire jutsu propel by it gain a rank? Or does it just propel the jutsu forward with more destructive potential?}

(The damage is additive. So if your jutsu does 20 damage, and you use it in a combination with Mist Blaze Dance, it does 20+10 = 30 damage.

Also, in terms of rank, it adds ranks. 1 S rank = 2 A's = 4 B's = 8 C's = 16 D's.

So... if you use a B-rank Katon with Mist Blaze dance, it becomes 1 + 0.25 = 1.25. So, a slightly stronger B-rank technique. Let me know if you want a more thorough explanation, we can do it over VMs. This is where it gets pretty technical, but I wouldn't worry too much about it, honestly. Just know it adds more power to the tech.

 )

Aigis returned the smile with a small one of their own. She found the mouse quite cute, honestly. Guv also had a certain aura around him; one of an adventurer and wholesome person. She liked those kind of people.

"Next one's pretty simple. Jump upward. While you're in the air, you'll create large flaming bullets and shoot them from your mouth. They become something akin to meteors, and upon contact with a surface, they'll erupt into flaming geysers. Pretty straightforward, but you have the discretion to aim these meteors while you're in the air, so pick your targets well. Note the long range capabilities."

( Katon: Gōenka ) - Fire Release: Great Flame Flower
Rank: B
Type: Attack
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: The user jumps in the air and shoots three giant bullets of fire that come down like giant meteors, then erupt into a geyser of flame.

"After that, weave four handseals and create a superheated ash in your mouth by applying Katon chakra to manipulate it where it doesn't ignite, but is hot enough so that it can be ignited. You'll spew this ash from your mouth, creating a powerful dust cloud around your target. The ash is hot enough to burn, but if you click your teeth, it will act like flint and ignite the cloud and create a sizable flaming explosion."

Aigis sets up a target that looks like Hidan from the Akatsuki. (this was one of Asuma's jutsus when he fought him)

( Katon: Haisekishō ) - Fire Release: Ash Pile Burning
Rank: B
Type: Offense
Range: Short/Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: The user spews superheated ash from their mouth after performing four handseals. The ash is hot enough to cause third-degree burns on the victim. Because it's composed entirely of ash, it stays in the air around the victim like a cloud. If the user clicks his teeth, the stagnant ash will ignite, creating a violent explosion.

{Essentially, the best method to understand this use that technique is to use if with another D-rank, which would make the total techniques into a C-rank katon. Of course, the best tactic for the blazing mist dance jutsu is actually as a preventative against the opponent's katon jutsus, forcing them to use a different element. Such a missed opportunity not making this long-ranged... that way, this would be able to actually zone opponents far better and force them in a different direction... bleh, as is, it's kind of a silly jutsu really :3. Okay, let's actually do the next two jutsus now before I bore my poor senpai. Also, hey, that ash technique is finally here, redemption time is now here, here's hoping I don't spew mist ;-;}

*Guv again nods, this training is becoming quite routine at this point, which is good, given how much of a mess it was earlier. Fewer bushes being burnt, fewer targets being missed... it's as if he's becoming an actual competent shinobi, but still, poor Guv shouldn't go assault vampire lords in their black towers... oh wait, wrong RP. Ahem, Guv gathers some gather some chakra into both of his knees, before releasing it downwards towards his feet as he jumps, propagating himself about eight feet in the air. As he jumps, he gather some fire chakra into his lungs, and at at the apex of his jump spews three large fireballs in different directions, one short range at twenty five degrees to his right, the second mid-range at twenty five degrees to his left, and the third long range perfectly straight. As he begins to land, he concentrate further chakra around his feet, to help stabilize his landing, and begins to form four hand seals, ending with a tiger seal about four seconds later, and one second after landing. He then spews out some ash, causing to surround the cursed Hidan statue, about one meter total around it. Guv takes two steps back before clattering his teeth, thinking that the explosion will be similar to that of the Holy Hand Grenade Exploding Flame Shot jutsu. However, it was quite a bit more violent, thus forcing Guv back about two meters, making have a rough rolling landing.*

(Don't worry about boring me, I like that you're asking questions, honestly. Keeps us both sharp. I like how you looked at that Mist Blaze Dance. Remember to use that intuitive mind to find creative usages and pointers with every technique. Good work :D)

There was a subtle change in Guv. He was getting better and better, learning how to tame and mold his chakra to the desired effect. It was good... at least this time, he manifested the correct type substance... ash, not gas, unlike what had happened earlier. Taking on her more efficient and drill-sargeant side, Aigis nodded once and spoke simply. Her expectations were now a little higher.

"The first technique here has you performing one handseal, and exhaling dragon shaped fireballs at your opponent. These have incredible range, but what makes them unique from other fire jutsus is their ability to alter local weather. If you shoot these up to the clouds, you can create cloudy skies to set up for Kirin."

( Katon: Gōryūka no Jutsu ) - Fire Release: Great Dragon Fire Technique
Rank: B
Type: Offense/Supplementary
Range: Short/Long
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: The user fires several large dragon-shaped fireballs at their opponent after performing one handseal. It is able to alter localized weather conditions to the point of making thunder clouds when shot into the air, enabling the user to perform Kirin.

"Once you've done that, throw a bunch of shuriken at those logs over there. But before you do so, make sure you infuse fire chakra into them. This will increase their ability to destroy and burn a target. The cool thing here is that they'll continue burning even after they hit the target, causing some extra nuisances for the opponent to deal with.

( Katon: Hōsenka Tsumabeni ) - Fire Release: Phoenix Sage Flower Nail Crimson
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: short - Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user unleashes a volley of shuriken with one hand, while at the same time exhaling fire-infused chakra onto them in order to increase the weapons' destructive potential by making them capable of inflicting severe burns upon direct contact with either the intended victim or any other object caught within their trajectories. Due to the chakra-based nature of the flames that surround them, the shuriken will continue to burn after impact, regardless of the flammability of the object that they ultimately collide with.

Hopefully things would go without many hitches.

*Guv rises up and pats down his knees, looking at Aigis. Her disposition changed, her voice more direct, her stance more firm, she now had expectations. Too bad Guv wasn't exactly the best candidate to fulfill those expectations ;-;. Guv, not even nodding this time, full knowing that Aigis should know that he knew the instructions... hopefully, Guv prepared some fire chakra in his lungs as he inhaled. Two seconds later, he does a tiger hand seal and exhales, spewing out three fireballs, similar size to that of the Great Flame Flower technique from earlier, and spews all three long range, about two meters away from each other. As they fall, Guv molds them into a fire dragon shape by imagining how one would look swooping down to kidnap people or sheep, thus hopefully accomplishing create a sense of fear, not to mention immense heat. Favoring this weather, he decides to skip on creating a thunderstorm, taking Aigis to her word that it can be used to create a thunderstorm.*

*Next, Guv grabs three shuriken and places them into position in his left hand, and prepares more fire chakra in his lungs. Two seconds later, he places his left hand about two feet in front of them, and holds it back, breathing gently onto the shuriken for about a second before releasing them towards the logs, with them turning ablaze once they hit a meter in distance. They each hit their target perfectly, with each log lighting on fire quite effectively and efficiently.*

*Guv smiles, he didn't suck this time either.*

{Observations: I notice that most of these techniques requiring a dependence upon being able to breath efficiently in order to utilize them, hence a proper counter for many of these techniques would be to, in fact, constrict the opponent's ability to breath, thus not allowing them to finish the technique. Problem with this is that few jutsus have the ability to immediately accomplish this (one such jutsu is actually the ash burning pile jutsu learned last time), but others, such as the blazing mist dance, can, again, be used to zone quite effectively if concentrated deeply enough (again, such a missed opportunity that jutsu is). Another thing I've observed is how dumb the Phoenix Sage blah blah jutsu actually is when pondered upon. Yes, it's B-ranked, and yes it can cause burns, but it specifically states within the description that it requires exhalation upon the shuriken in order to ignite them, which immediately constricts the ability for the user to actually prepare bulkier attack jutsus that necessitate breathing, such as the great dragon fire technique I just learned, or the great fireball technique learned back in the c-ranks, or the Great Blaze Ball, et al, much less those of other elements (such as the Great Vacuum Cannon). Also, there is another jutsu, blazing shuriken dance, that is D-rank, but costs less chakra, and doesn't necessitate exhalation upon them in order for them to acquire their burning edge, but rather can be activated through mental command, thus freeing the mouth for the bulk of other katon techniques. The reason I say this is because shuriken, like kunai and other shinobi tools, are meant to distract opponents from bulkier attacks approaching them. Thus, why waste your breath, heh, on them?

Now, for a question, how many jutsus can be cannonically utilize to create the conditions necessary to use Kirin?}

I just realized that my observations were longer than my actual performance for both jutsus. My apologies for the laziness ;-;, I just don't have much to say in terms of performance, given that these become a bit repetitive in terms of that.

(That's very true, a lot of the Katon jutsus do indeed require breathing and exhalation. Excellent distinction between the D-rank and B-rank shuriken techniques, but remember that even if the D-rank version may be faster, it inflicts less damage and is more easily countered than its B-rank equivalent. There have been wind customs that deal with constricting breath and creating conditions that make it harder to perform Katon without recoil. Even if Fuuton is weak against Katon, you'll be surprised at how some interactions may in fact prove opposite of what you think. By gaining more battle experience you'll be able to gain more insights to how they work ^^

Mist Blaze Dance is a good deterrent. Yes, wasted potential. You could potentially kill an opponent if they... forgive me for this... misfire.

And to answer your question, I believe it's only that jutsu you just learned. No, Rain (Ameton) does not create Kirin conditions; you have to naturally induce cloudy skies sand rain, not create chakra infused rain. I believe the Kirin jutsu even has a restriction where you MUST use said Katon tech the turn before.

Finally, it's ok. I just want you to understand the technique and write it out in your own details. You'll be surprised how certain RPers can bug up descriptions when they're provided right to them ~_~)

Aigis nodded. A significantly marked improvement over the blundering yet likable guy who breathed out ash instead of a flammable gas just a while ago.

"Moving onward in the next set. First, perform the Tiger hand seal. Manipulate your chakra and release it through the atmosphere. From the ground, several flames will rise and float around you. Your shape manipulation will turn these flames into head shapes. They look quite demonic, as if inspired by Japanese Mythology... the Oni demons."

"You can then focus and control the flaming projectiles to hit your targets. Pretty handy."

( Katon: Onidōrō ) - Fire Release: Demon Lantern
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Long
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: After performing the Tiger hand seal the user will manipulate their chakra releasing it into the atmosphere around him to create several ghost-like flames resembling heads with horns and yellow eyes that then attack the target/s in a swarm.

"After that, build up your Katon chakra in your chest and release a burst of flame from your mouth at your opponent's feet. It'll shoot up from the point of impact, forming a flaming pillar. If you time this right, your opponent will get caught in it and be thrown up into the air and burned."

"Give me an example of a good follow-up technique in battle, if you manage to catch your opponent in it."

( Katon: Honoo no Hashira Jutsu ) - Fire Release: Flame Pillar Technique
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user will manipulate their chakra into their chest and then they will release from their mouth a quick burst of flame towards their opponents feet which then errupts into a large pillar of flame reaching 3 meters tall and inflicting damage to the target.

Yeah, I agree... oh wait ._.

*Guv smiles, finally beginning to understand what it meant comprehend some of these jutsus. He then takes a more concentrated look as Aigis begins to describe the next two jutsus. Guv begins to concentrate chakra within his core, burning his insides as Aigis finishes her explanation of the second jutsu. He forms a tiger seal two seconds after she finishes, releasing his chakra into the atmosphere, thus causing an area of one meter around him to heat up. Within five seconds, ten demon head spirits, consisting of flames, form around Guv, five on the right, and five on the left, but each side has a jagged pattern to them, oscillating first left, then right, and so on and so forth. He then sends them out to attack the clone (I'm presuming there is one) by sending the first two upper heads on either side towards it, attacking the uppermost part of her body, and then the next two attack a portion lower a second later. Essentially, the first two attack her head, next two her shoulder blades, next two her breasts, and the next two her pelvis, each set being sent one second after the last. The final two, though, go towards her eyes instead. As the final two are sent, Guv concentrates some katon chakra in his chest, feeling an intense burn, before sending it out two seconds later, charging towards her feet. Two seconds later, it strikes her feet, causing a nine foot pillar to rise, surrounding her for an area of one meter with an intense flame. As that occurs, he performs the Horse → Tiger hand seals in one second, and exhales a giant fireball that heads towards the clone a second after that. It strikes the clone and pushes her to long range before obliterating her. Guv then pats his knees and turns towards Aigis, who he doesn't see... oh crap, Guv, what have you done...*

{Observations: Fire Release: Demon Lantern is essentially
( Katon: Hōsenka no Jutsu ) - Fire Release: Phoenix Sage Fire Technique on steroids, as it's both powerful (that B-rank) and possible to create many at once. It also is created through the atmosphere instead of the mouth, and thus isn't counterable through breathing constriction as it Phoenix too long name is. Difference is that the Phoenix blah name technique is much smaller with each fireball than the Demon Lantern technique, but given that the best counter is a wide spreading technique, it truly doesn't change much. Thus, the Phoenix will never use technique is kind of redundant... :| (note I have actually used this technique). The flame pillar technique is best used as a constriction technique, to be followed up by a nastier, but more focused, technique, such as the Great Blaze Ball technique I shown in the example with Guv. Otherwise, not so much to say with this set.}

Aigis began drilling Guv at a more deliberate pace.

"Perform the Monkey, Bird, Dog, and Ram handseals and literally 'flame on' as you're set ablaze with fire surrounding your entire body. This fire can be discharged in two ways: launched at a target in a large spiral for a concentrated attack, or expanded off your body for an area-of effect attack, forming a tornado of flames."

"Try both variants on my clones."

She created two Shadow Clones.

( Katon: Kaen Senpū ) - Fire Release: Flame Whirlwind
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: After performing the required four handseals Monkey → Bird → Dog → Ram, fire erupts around the user's body and then launches towards the target in a spiraling-manner or expands engulfing the surrounding area in a tornado of flames. Anything nearby is incinerated as the flames erupt upwards.

"After that, form a set of five handseals: Tiger, Horse, Rat, Dog, and Tiger. By spitting out a flame that surrounds the enemy, you can trap them. From this trap, use your shape manipulation to create a flaming spider that can latch onto the trapped target and attack them."

"I like this jutsu's principles. I don't, however, like spiders."
she said, almost shuddering at the thought of those creepy crawlies.

( Katon: Benijigumo ) - Fire Release: Crimson Earth Spider
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: After performing five handseals Tiger → Horse → Rat → Dog → Tiger , the user spews out fire that both surrounds the enemy and then transforms into a spider that attacks the enemy. This technique effectively traps and attacks an opponent at the same time, and can be used to force them into another attack.
