I didn't see a good argument for why kaioken itself is greater than the 7th gate.

If the 7th gate multiplies the user's power by 20 times and goku used the 7th gate, wouldn't it be the same thing as kaiokenX20? IF that's true, then i'd say the 7th gate is better since someone like Gai can use it for a while while Saiyan saga goku who pretty much craps on the NV can only hold Kaioken X4 for a short time.
